Following the events of Stage of the Apocalypse ...
Two Clop class cruisers the Sussex and Charleston had deserted their positions as part of the Federation Martian expeditionary force, instead choosing the join the rebels in support of Commodore Marina Von Witzland. At an earlier date they'd received a transmission from their commander instructing them to head for the asteroid belt. The personnel on boards these ships weren't ordinary pilots and officers, they were part of the EFSF home grown special forces led by Lt. Commander Lorena Seydlitz. This was a core of trained individuals who had already cut their teeth facing the Martians, Wizard team was a flexible unit composed mostly by heavy attackers such as the Gustav Karl and a modernized variant of the FA-010C FAZZ.
So far the group hadn't run into any major obstacles on their way to the asteroid belt, their EWAC elements keeping an eye out for anything that would come across as a potential threat. They'd been on the trail for almost two weeks and while the supplies on board could last a while longer they would need to dock somewhere and replenish sooner rather than later. Lorena knew the location of a few EF supply bases but getting in on those wouldn't be easy now that they had been branded as traitors.

Eamon sat in the cockpit of his ReZEL having spent the majority of his time around it since they had split from the Federation Task Force. Having been in Martian territory the majority of the time he was wary of ambushes. Not to mention it was possible that his father had gone out of their way to tail the group. Eamon would be ready to face both should they come! In the end he knew they would be vindicated for their actions. They had to be right? He shook the thought from his head as he adjusted some setting in his cockpit. While they had entered the asteroid belt or were approaching it, he knew they were far from being safe from danger. He wondered where they were going as well. He had a lot of uncertainty about this, and mainly what he knew was that they were off to go link up with Marina. But from there, he had no idea how they would move forward. No doubt those Martians having shown their true colors to his father would prove they were right! They would be begging forgiveness from them!

It had taken Faust only a matter of minutes to ready his white RX-0 and commandeer suitable long range transport after he had been informed of the results of the talks that had taken place on the asteroid base and he had taken it upon himself to contact the volunteer federation forces and guide them in the rest of the way. Gaining access codes through the facility’s perimeter had been a simple matter which he had achieved even before he had been notified about the results of Marina’s meeting. Such would have been useful if the negotiations had gone sour as he had been prepared to ply his own influence on the matter.
He had left both the Papua and the Base Jabber behind as he neared the supposed picket line of the Federation forces that had abandoned their positions to join Marina’s cause and smiled slightly to himself. He let himself drift into the area that was supposedly occupied by the new allies and turned down the volume of the music he had been listening to and began an open broadcast on all frequencies, knowing that sooner or later he would attract someone’s attention. Bach’s violin concerto in a minor could be heard as he spoke cooley. “To those who so gratuitously chose to aid Miss Von Witzland, it is a pleasure to guide you for the final leg of your journey. I believe I am looking for... Wizard team, was it?” he felt no fear about broadcasting so openly or so directly; his RX-0 had been equipped with the components for its Plan B configuration and he was hardly worried by what a group of treasonous pilots could do after the long journey from Mars.

The Delta Kai was deployed ahead of the ships to personally greet their guide.
" This is Wizard leader, we read you loud and clear." Lt. Commander Seydlitz had instructed the rest of the pilots to form a defensive perimeter to deter any intrusions. The Sussex and Charleston formed up in a line as they followed the lead of these two mobile suits.
" What a curious machine... "Lorena thought to herself as the Unicorn got into detection range, the type data not being present in the Delta registry simply displaying it as an unknown. Once she drew close enough to get a better view she deduced it was some type of Jesta variant heavily armed.

Eamon quietly listened to the back and forth transmission from the comfort of his cockpit as he adjusted some finer settings to his liking. Seemed that they had been met by one of Marina's allies? One of the pilots that escaped with her? He didn't recognize the voice... Regardless, they were now on their way proper to link up with Marina. But at this moment he had to be on his guard, for at any moment they could come under attack. Even this close to their objective he could not afford to lose his focus.

Faust allowed himself a moment of satisfaction when the commander of this small force addressed him directly. Doubtless the EWAC machines had already pinpointed him and the rest of the formation was scrambling into some kind of defensive posture, expecting some kind of incursion. As it was he had come by himself and relatively lightly armed. The Unicorn was more equipped for speed and maneuverability than for out and out firepower but still was more heavily equipped than most of the mobile suits he would be facing if they chose to attack him.
It was an easy matter to notice the light leaving one of the two cruisers as it approached and without thinking about it he turned his mobile suit’ head to follow it. As it drew close he leaned against his pilot’s seat and stroked the edge of his helmet like one would their chin. He smiled approvingly at the machine and nodded. “MSN-001X Gundam Delta Kai... A fine choice and not without aesthetic charm.”
When the other machine was within visual range the RX-0 gave a bow much like its pilot had done when meeting Marina for the first time. Even if he was fired on at this time his machine was equipped to counter beam weapons quite well and strong enough to withstand any physical weapons thrown at him by the Delta. It had come alone so he could suspect that this was simply unlikely to happen.
“My name is Berenguer Faustino Melchor de Cordova, but you may refer to me as merely Faust if it suits you. I was able to procure some supplies before my departure; if there is anything of immediate concern for your flotilla I will be happy to supply. It is questionable if my suit could have made it this far on it’s own power so if the supply craft I brought along could join us.” He had his own connections within Aenahiem Electronics and borrowing a ship and it’s cargo had been a simple matter. The question of why he needed a ship and its cargo had been easily overlooked with the help of gold bullion slipped to the harbormaster and the ship’s captain. “May I have the pleasure of knowing to whom it is I am speaking?”

" My name is Lorena Seydlitz. I believe your master is expecting us stray little lambs. " The Delta Kai pilot would reply back, for a few moments she was about to use her rank until she remembered it no longer mattered at all. Lorena's mobile suit was completely unarmed save for it's shield and Vulcan ammo, not expecting to get into any fights with their welcome committee.
" We're not too worried about supplies just yet. We should have more than enough to make it to our destination." She would further explain to the operator of the RX-0. " You're more than welcome to bring in your ships within our defensive perimeter. We've all pledged our loyalty to mistress Von Witzland, some of us owe her our very own lives." At this point, it was likely that all of them had been listed as traitors to the Federation, this further convinced her there was unlikely to be any double agents amongst their crew.

In under an hour the Base Jabber, Papula, and RX-0 had comfortably fallen into formation with the rest of the group. The large transport vessel was slow to arrive but the ponderous vessel made its way smoothly in to formation with the kind of fluidity that showed that the helmsman was no stranger to the ship nor to military formation patterns. Rather than take a position behind the perimeter of EWAC suits the Base Jabber took up a guide position within the coverage offered by the mobile suits and was acting as guide.
Faust had boarded one of the Clopp class ships and had taken up one of the spaces freed by one of the EWAC suits and had disembarked from his machine after the hanger was pressurized. His helmet had come off and the ponytail came free of his normal suit’s collar. He looked around the hanger appraisingly and his eyes fell on a Rezel that stood slightly differently than the rest of the others on the vessel. “I assume we are being watched? You must have expected some kind of retribution from either the Federation or Mars forces if you have pilots on standby like that.” he addressed the figure that had disembarked the Delta Kai behind him.

Eamon worked his way out of the cockpit though would kneel at the edge his hand holding the lip of the cockpit as he peered outwards. His eyes came to rest on Faust and observed them from a distance. He didn't recognize them from among the traitors, and so Eamon reasoned that this must of been then one who spoke over the radio earlier. He relaxed a little but would watch the two from where he was. He had been feeling kind of distant as of late, and had been hugging to his mobile suit ever since. Then after a moment of shifting position he decided to go and see them for himself. It wasn't healthy to isolate ones self all the time, and for the time being this was his life now. Pushing out from the cockpit he would approach them.

" There's no telling who we might run along the way. it's best to be prepared all the time." Lorena had arrived shortly before Faust, her helmet completely removed and secured out of the way. There was no denying this blue haired fellow was a handsome devil. Wizard team consisted entirely of a handpicked crew and the majority of them had decided to join former Commodore Von Witzland, owing her their careers.
Her eyes wandered over at Eamon's Rezel noticing his detachment from them. Truth to be told he'd joined their mutiny on a short moment notice and was no doubt harboring doubts about their decision.
" Our men don't exactly like to stay put for too long, it's best to keep ourselves busy! besides our partners can supply us all the H3 we need, it would be irresponsible not to keep an screening force up all the time." Lorena herself was convinced they'd made the right call and that their commander would be able to take care of them. She had very good reasons to believe they would stay supplied and well equipped and that RX-0 was solid enough proof.
---
Marina Von Witzland boarded the Clop class vessel on board of a Rezel that simply dropped her off. She descended from the cockpit wearing a normal suit, heading over to the hangar to greet Wizard team leader.
" Glad you could make it, Lorena." She would shake hands with her loyal Lt. Commander then direct her glance over at Eamon. " Faust, excuse me for a moment." She would tell her self appointed bodyguard.
" I wasn't quite expecting you to come with us but let it be know you are welcome." The blond would warmly greet the troubled young man, embracing him with her arms.

Eamon had been approaching the group when he noticed that someone else had come out to join them. As he was only moving with a slow momentum he was able to stop himself from crashing into them by bracing a stop with his foot. It was Marina Von Witzland herself having come out to greet the two in person. He would look to her but say nothing glancing away a little when she glanced at him. He knew that his presence among those loyal to Marina must of been suspicious, especially with his family relations. However those thoughts were interupted by what she said and did next. Warmly she embraced the troubled pilot right then and there. He blinked but gave a relieved smile at this."I couldn't just abandon my Commodore, especially when she had been so obviously framed." he replied as he would then embrace her in return."You've gotten us through a lot..."

Faust quickly and quietly made his way free of the hanger and only spoke up to the dark haired woman who had followed him out once the pressure door had sealed automatically behind them. He did not turn to face her but grinned slightly to himself in mild satisfaction with the lead of this band of renegades. She was clearly one who put great effort into maintaining her looks and physical well-being, which he noted with appreciation.
Once the door had closed behind them he sighed quietly with a smile and folded his arms behind his back as he let her take the lead. “Miss Von Witzland has such compassion for her subordinates. It’s rather charming.” he observed. Whether or not those supposed feelings were genuine or merely a farce had yet to be discerned but it was a question that he pondered quietly to himself without any genuine concern. However she treated her actual subordinates meant ultimately nothing to him; his own loyalties lay with his own master who had told him to follow Marina’s orders as if they were her own. That command aside he could have hardly cared less if he wanted to or not.

" The commodore has her own brand of charisma." Lorena was not the type of person who liked to praise others. She wondered why Faust was a part of this considering he wasn't all that used to Marina's unique brand of leading young men and women into battle.
" A month ago not one of us would have even dreamed of turning our backs on the Federation and yet when we heard of it most of us knew the time had come to honor our end of the bargain." The majority of the rebels had indeed formed a personal connection with Marina through the years, in some cases she'd been the one who turned them into what they were.
---
" I am so sorry for sending you all to that meat grinder but it had to be done." Marina did not care she was putting on a show for the handful of crew hands currently at the hangar, she clung to Eamon, her arms squeezing around the younger man. Indeed, she'd not expected anyone to make it back and yet here he was.
" I don't expect you to forgive me for sending you to a certain death." Tears began to stream down her cheeks, ashamed with the decision making that had lead to sending her remaining MS to attack the Martian Railgun installation.

"You shouldn't be sorry." Eamon said with a soft shake of his head."You did what you had to, for the sake of all those in the line of site of that rail gun. We all knew what we signed on for." his arms hugged around her waste in a understanding gesture as she embraced him her arms clung around him. He gave her a light pat on the back not entirely used to interacting with superior officers like this, but he had grown more used to it while on her ship."Those Zeons would of dropped a celestial body on earth without a second thought. We all know that, and history will remember what we had to sacrifice to stop it." he nodded seeing how deeply this had affected her. The Zeons when they had captured him having put him in an unwinnable situation were not satisfied with his mere defeat. They did things to him that he would not soon forget.

Faust was mildly amused by this woman’s explanation of how ah had came to join Marina’s rebellion and resisted the smirk he felt. His expression was one of understanding when he nodded. In truth he found the sentiment of owing her some sort of payoff rather laughable and more than somewhat foolish. He would have taken the deal for all it was worth and then dropped ties with her the moment she had began her little rebellion. “It’s quite the risk to throw away everything you already have to honor this kind of debt. Not everyone would have the fiber to sacrifice a sure thing for the sake of something... greater. I am here because the one I follow requested that I aid her, not through any personal connection of my own.”
Rather than expose his own apathy towards the arrangement he turned his attention back towards the mobile suit he had watched his companion depart from and clucked his tongue approvingly. “The Delta Kai is quite the remarkable machine. I wonder... Were you able to secure it for yourself or was it given to you? It is a fine fit for someone who puts as much attention into their own aesthetics as you do. You are certainly not one to be trifled with.” Even without seeing her record the fact that she was able to handle such a macho itself was a statement, doubly so with her position as the head of the rebellion forces.
