On board the Clop class cruiser 'Charleston'
Former Commodore Marina Von Witzland had summoned a small group of pilots to the briefing room with the intention of discussing an upcoming operation. Arriving in before anyone else she brought a data unit containing a copy of the Lunar shipyard schematics and a detailed map of the lunar surface depicting the routes of EF ships and position of their units.
Marina had requested the help of only about a dozen or so of her most trusted elements, this was going to be a risky operation against an enemy that overwhelmed them in numbers and fire power but their plan wasn't to make a desperate last stand, rather they were to punch a hole in the defensive network way in advance and exploit it without bringing too much attention to themselves.
Once everyone had taken a seat she would explain that they were going to travel to the moon on board a civilian shuttle. She would personally infiltrate the EF shipyard and take control of the General Revil as it laid in the dock.
" I should be able to wrestle control of the ship from its skeleton crew. The difficult part would be securing the airspace before we make our escape. Once we have enough distance we can focus on getting rid of anyone they send after us." This plan was reckless and she knew the chance of success was slim but she had to act.

Damien looked comfortable in his seat, crossing his legs as he listened to the briefing. His naturally brown hair was dyed white, as he had requested, looking much like the Rending Blizzard, during the One Year War, which got him some curious and paranoid looks from some of the crew.
"We're talking about the most versatile ship in the history of the Earth Federation, if not one of them. Not only is a ship of that magnitude and firepower expensive to make, but it's also hard to match. What sort of plan would we need, to take that? And, what Mobile Suits would be guarding such a dreadnaught?"

" I will personally lead an attack party that will seize the Revil's control stations and engine rooms. I know they only keep a small security detachment on board the ship which we can over power. They are not expecting anyone to dare launch such an operation." Marina knew the inside and outs of the lunar base, having served there for over 15 years.
" As for their mobile suit forces ... The majority of the combat capable forces are headed to Mars, even if they were to turn back to any distress signal it would take them days to really get their bearings on us. That doesn't mean it's going to be a walk in the park however! We can expect a lot of Zeta types and specialized Jegans. THeir commanders will have Gundam variants too so don't go thinking you can overpower everything." Marina knew that this would be the toughest challenge of her career yet. Stomping Martians using decade old Neo Zeon gear was one thing and a whole other was taking on a superiorly armed force.

"I figured that something important to the Federation would be heavily guarded, like Jaburo, Fort Knox, and every major bank combined into one. At least the defense isn't on steroids."
Damien calmly tried lightening the mood with some comedy, not used to such an attitude derived from the source of his DNA.
"So, when does this operation start? And, will there be a signal to attack?"

Felizia Schor relaxed sitting back in her seat rather casually as she eyed over Marina having arrived shortly before the briefing started."Sounds like we will need to be in and out as quickly as possible." she said as if that was a given."I can have my mobile armor run interference to delay reinforcements and pursuers. Given that they are sending more ships to Mars I believed it is more then likely that ships in the area will be a part of their reserve assets." she said with a pause."I'd say we can delay further reinforcements using other forms of interference, but they will have laser comm links connected in no time." she said with a shrug both her hands open palmed.

Faust had been sitting quietly in the far corner of the room since well before the meeting with his eyes closed and his arms crossed, looking for all the world asleep. “In addition to mobile suits what else should we be expecting? This isn’t exactly some small supply outpost so we should probably be expecting mines, both located on the surface as well as orbital.” he commented softly, opening his eyes to survey the group that had been gathered.
This was a daring first move to be sure but striking while the initiative was still in their hands was the only way they would expect to secure such a valuable asset. Once it was on the move the Revel would have been next to impossible to take since it was the Federation’s de facto flagship after all. Catching them off guard was the only way to secure it easily and destroying it in combat would have been possibly an even greater challenge without having to directly engage and neutralize its supporting fleet in the process. All told, Faust found the idea of taking the vessel to be less costly than trying to destroy it in a regular engagement.

" Well, for this operation to start we'll have to get to the moon first. As I said we'll take a shuttle there, worry not you'll all be notified when it's go time." Currently it would take them a couple of weeks to get to the moon even with a high speed ship.
Marina turned her attention to Felizia whom eagerly volunteered to run interference for them. " I would greatly appreciatte that, Miss Schor, when it gets to that point you'll be free to tackle our pursuers however you see fit."
" Glad you asked, Faust. The Federation has no intentions of mining their own harbor since there's a lot of traffic in and around the moon. If one of those mines sinks a civilian transport ship that's only going to spell trouble for everyone. On the other hand the harbor is defended by an extensive net of high caliber batteries firing out of rotating turrets." The screen would display the position of soe of these turret mounted mega particles guns, scattered across the base perimeter.
" Damien, these are going to be your primary targets. Knock out as many as you can." Out of the three of them, Damien was piloting a transformable which made him the candidate for these long range strikes.
" Felizia will take care of whatever ships lay in the way there. Faust, you will handle whatever mobile suits try and get in close. I know some of you are not used to work as a team that's why we'll be handling different tasks." Marina had come up with a way for these three to at least accomplish a group task without getting too close.

Damien took note of his targets, and thought of ways to destroy them, without causing too much damage that would destroy the ship.
"If we're talking about turrets and mega particle cannons that could be replaced, then the beam saber and Vulcan guns are the best bet. As long as the ship isn't destroyed, the mission will be accomplished, right?"
Damien was thinking hard, to ensure that his teammates didn't get hit in the crossfire of his objective, or destroyed what they were after, by accident.

A wide grin came to Felizia's face at being told she would have free reign to tackle pursuers however she pleased. She stiffed a twisted giggle already liking how Marina was willing to let her do some things her way."Consider those Feddie ships as good as debris~" she said eyeing Marina up at being given her assignment."They wont know what hit them." she said with a pointed motion."What are the abort conditions by the way? Doubt it will come to that, but you never know." she said with a shrug."Also, what route will we take on the way out? B line for the asteroid belt or duck and weave between colonies and sides?" she asked curious.

Faust’s reaction was somewhere between the studious note taking and the unrepressed glee of his fellows towards this operation. It sounded to him like he was given the simplest but most difficult of the assignments, to protect the approach and stamp out any interference until the ship had been captured. It suited him just as well. The mobile armor had the armor and firepower to engage ships and other man’s machine had a smaller profile most likely, making him better suited for engagement with the base’s weaponry.
“Understood, Miss Marina. I will handle the enemy’s mobile suit forces while you secure the ship itself.” After a moment he turned his gaze to look at the white haired gentleman who had been taking notes and smiled thinly. “Though, I may hasten to clarify that your target is not the ship’s weapons themselves but the base’s long range defensive installations.” He spoke slowly and with a chilled voice that never quite fell out of conversational, though there was a slightly chiding air to it. “Once we have acquired the General Revil I believe we should try to find a way that would provide the least exposure to colonies with ties to the federation. Some may not be affiliated with it directly but reports of a rogue battleship heading their way would be enough to draw attention from local self defense forces that we would be better off avoiding... Though that is just my opinion.”

" There's no plan B. If I fail to take control of the ship and get it out of the dock then we're as good as dead. We'll synchronize our watches but I deduce it should take us 30 minutes to seize the bridge." Marina was not afraid to die, certain that these two men that accompanied her were programmed to fight to the end which left Felizia as the odd one out.
" I won't be taken alive. I'll gladly shoot myself before letting them get their hands on me, I am gambling everything on the success of this mission. Are you as prepared as we are, Miss Schor? it's not too late to reconsider your options." The blond, eye patch wearing woman would address Felizia directly, speaking cordially but with a slight hint of smugness.

Damien's eye twitched, slightly, at the mention of Marina offering to shoot herself, rather than be captured. He then looked her in the face, with a bit of concern in his gaze and tone of voice.
"That seems a bit much, don't you think? Considering that you're alive, suicide isn't exactly a comforting thought. No sane person commits suicide, only those gripped by depression and despair. I can certainly try to come to your rescue, should things go south. After all, Vulcan guns are a thing. And, the bare hands of Mobile Suits, while also making sure the area you're in isn't completely crushed."

"There is no need for me to reconsider anything." she said with a large smirk as she eyed Marina not breaking that contact."I've pledged myself to Citrio and his cause, not just for the money." she said with a pause."Because I genuinely believe in what he wants to do. By extension, a independent Jupiter Sphere is the best shot for Spacenoid Independence. The cause my father fought for, and his leader committed to." she said sitting up straight."I am prepared to sacrifice everything, and am prepared to do anything for his dream and that dream." she said before glancing over to Damien deciding not to spell everything out. She knew that at this point, Marina probably knew what she was about, but if not... well she was in for a surprise."I doubt it will come to suicide anyways if we fail. We will die in the battle before anything." she said glancing over to Damien.

Faust was unsurprised to hear his companions talk about death but after a moment he laughed aloud and clapped once before sitting upright. He continued to chuckle for a few moments and let out a relaxed sigh that dragged on for a moment. He grinned softly and shook his head.
“There used to be an old adage about soldiers who expected to see tomorrow perishing on the field of battle while those who went to war prepared for their death would live on to see tomorrow. I do not believe there is a point in worrying about whether we pass on or not; we must simply be ready to commit ourselves to the action and accept the risks we must take in order to see it through and be contented with the fact we may die in the effort. Live or die, it cannot be helped. We all have our dates.”

Marina was quite used to ending her briefings on a somber note. The way she saw it combat was a messy affair and one was better off not pretending there would be any glory involved. Lucia's children were too human like, almost indistinguishable from the real thing, they very much behaved like any other flesh and blood person but that line of thought now had her questioning if they would prove reliable.
The trip to the moon would take a lot of time so for now they had an abundance of it between their hands. Once the briefing was over, Damien was approached by Lt. Commander Lorena Seydlitz herself, sent to help the android get more acquainted with their operation.
" Good day." Lorena would shake hands with the blond pilot, having no idea whatsoever about his true nature and it was a closely guarded secret nobody else was supposed to know save from a select group of individuals. The raven haired girl looked cheery and enthusiastic to meet this new arrival, not recognizing him from anywhere. Those inquisitive purple eyes remained on his face, thinking she had seen him somewhere before in her life but not quite remembering where or when, a distant memory perhaps.
