UC 0080-Late September Von Braun city.
The city of Von Braun reconstructions efforts were going at a fairly rapid pace. A mere year after the grueling battles most of the debris had been cleared, domes repaired and neighborhoods were soon becoming habitable again. Only a few areas had been spared but that was down to lucky circumstances more than anything. The large verdant parks that provided the underground lunar city with a steady supply of oxygen remained as they had been prior to the war and it was the place where recently promoted Lt.commander Ryoko Kihara often spent her days off in company with her lover.
Ryoko had been assigned a post in the reserves, it was not a bad position but it was a different type of battlefield, neverthless she was getting used to living in peace with the help of Livie and Tsubasa.
Unknown to them, a Zeon cell in exile had been raiding supply depots on the lunar surface fairly recently. These remnants were experts at concealing, using series of underground tunnels to hide from the federation and attack where they were least expected taking full advantage of the element of surprise. While not a sizeable force by any means they were still operating mobile suits which made them a thorn on the side of the contractors.
That morning the long haired green haired woman sat at the table, reading a digital copy of a newspaper on a notepad that covered the latest raid. A frustrated sigh escaped those rosy lips prior to taking a sip of her black coffee, already imagining being given the order to deploy against this scavenging band of remnants.

Outside the calm wooden cabin home in Von Braun's nature reserve area, an ash-colored blonde had been practicing her marksmanship lessons in her makeshift shooting range on its backyard all the while this was happening things were quiet and easy until the sound of a buzzer had blared out signaling the start of her sniper training, the targets individually pop-out revealing itself to be painted copies of a Zaku or any other Zeon based MS at that time.
Livie holding her Airsoft rifle tightly began to aim and shoot at the target firing at various directions and ranges she would fire some shots at the targets each hit a buzzer sounded the mark that she landed a shot and each buzzer brought out more targets which she used to her advantage to shoot in consecutive bursts as plastic balls had continued to make their marks.

Since they lived practically next door, it was easy for Ryoko to simply get up and stroll towards Livie's house, still wearing her pajamas while walking on sandals. It was clear that her friend was keeping her marksmanship relevant by constantly practicing. At the end of the day this was a perishable skill.
" Can you believe I just saw this on the news? These reporters make for way better sources than our intel department." Having Zeon remnants going around sacking food banks and fuel stations was problematic indeed.
" I don't think they are too large of a force if they have been able to slip by up until this point. It would be wise to put them down before they can cause any harm." Ryoko was not going to wait for official orders or reinforcements, thinking they were more than capable of handling this roving marauders with what they had on station at the time.

She continued to hit target after target the buzzer contiously ringing over the sound of Ryoko not hearing what she said and after a few short minutes of target practice she leaps down her sniping tower and meets up with her holding her rifle and removing her chestplate and her goggles.
"I barely heard the first part, so I assume that's not a big deal if they decided to give the reserves some work, I mean I haven't been given a Mobile Suit yet." She grabs a microfiber cloth and cleans her goggles and scope getting it cleaned up for next time.

" If I can get you in a cockpit right now you won't need to do much besides stay in position and shoot." Ryoko was certain Livie would pick up her piloting skills fairly quickly. It wasn't her call to assign her a mobile suit after her accident in side 3 but there were ways around that.
The green haired woman longed for another hunt but wouldn't openly admit it. It was better to keep her craving for battle out of sight.

She grabbed the case for the rifle and placed it there gently and accordingly along with the protective gear she would pack up and place it on the picnic table and her glance at the green-haired lady was optimistic and as she noticed her still reading the news she would sneakily hug her from behind even though they were both in the reserve corps both of them are willing to deploy if needed by the Von Braun defense force if need be.
"Well if it's another GM I wouldn't mind, what about you?" She kept hugging her and noticed that she was craving for a fight since she tried hiding it she would use it to her advantage. "I know that look, you're craving for it aren't you?" the way she said it unintentionally meant several different meanings.

Ryoko let out a soft sigh of resignation. Her body language always betrayed her words and Livie was quick to catch up on this, immediately calling her out on it. " I guess i'll never be able to fool you." These physical displays of affections did not bother the green haired lady, turning around so she could lovingly stroke the younger girl's hair.
" It's a good thing you've been keeping your marksmanship sharp.. it's certainly going to make our lives easier. Lemme get changed and we'll head to the garrison, see if we can get you back inside a cockpit." It would take Ryoko sometime to get changed out of her pajamas. It would take nearly an hour for them to finally be on their way, arriving at this installation in one of the upper levels of Von Braun's.
When they arrived, the base was in quite a commotion and understandably so. Granada wasn't that far away so everyone was expecting the worse. In this chaos it was easy for Ryoko to simply walk Livie into the closest hangar where different GM models were kept. She wasn't even going to ask the garrison commander for permission and why should they? This was going to be a simple crash course to see if the blond remembered anything as she was guided inside the hatch of this non-specified GM variant.

As they arrived inside the hangar the only GMs available were the One Year War Early Production GM, a GM Command, and surprisingly enough the one Mobile Suit both of them weren't expecting mostly unexpected for Ryoko, Livie's GM Sniper Custom though all of the shoulders and chest compartment were stripped of some armor it was still the same GM she piloted during the war as she saw this Livie's head started to ache.
"Nnnng~.......I don't know why but that GM is making my head hurt" she hovered her hands over her head and it continued to sting each time she glanced at her old GM that she didn't know she had.

" Maybe bringing you here wasn't such a good idea." It had been a while since Ryoko last saw these migraines. She would take Livie to the nearest chair, fetching her a cup of cool water. Ryoko had used her position to keep Livie's old GM sniper custom from getting scrapped and turned into construction material. The machine was regularly serviced and put through it's motions to ensure the proper running conditions.

Even though she was calmly sitting in her chair and trying to drink some water the migraines began to sting much more each time she would try to rub her head she would see glimpses of her old memories much of the painful ones, 10 minutes had passed and she was grabbing onto her hair it was an unbearable time for her and could hurt herself at any minute.
"M-Make it..........Stop!" Flashes of her memories begin to form but only a few memories began to recover from her but not enough to help her remember anything the blonde had now curled up on the chair that she was seated in and wanted the pain to go away but eventually it did.

" Don't you always carry a few of those horse tranquilizers with you?" Ryoko was perfectly aware Livie wasn't supposed to get anywhere near a mobile suit controls under the effects of that medication the doctor had prescribed for her ailment.
A few crew couldn't help but direct curious gazes at the two women. but no one dared interrupt them in any way. Ryoko merely kept them away with a ' nothing to see here' type of glance.
" No use going back home now. You can sit down at my office if you want." As long as Livie was wearing her uniform no one was going to ask too much questions, provided she behaved.

"N-No, I need to prove that I'm combat capable, or I'll never pilot anything" She stood up and went to her former Mobile Suit even though the pain was stabbing her like a pin on a pincushion she would nonetheless pursue it, slowly climbing the Hangar with her headaches she would continue to venture up to the cockpit and see its insides but she would slowly reach out to open it but a very large migraine would hit her very hard causing her to faint from shock.

Ryoko let out a frustrated sigh. Livie was a grown woman now and from the sounds of it she was trying to overcome this hurdle. It was impossible to muster the will to stand up to her close friend so she would just let Livie carry on. She was about to go towards her own GM command when she saw the blond collapse as the hatch of the sniper custom opened up.
" Damn ...!" Without wasting too much breath she rushed towards Livie, picking her up in her arms and dragging her all the way to the infirmary. Earlier that morning this had seemed like such a good idea but now Ryoko was simply mad at herself for not thinking it through.

While being unconscious she began to dream and inside her mind, she saw her old self just watching her as the rest of the other stuff was blurry to her as this happened her former self began to move away and she gave chase causing her to follow her but the other Livie was quick on her feet and was much faster than expected while all this was going the sound of an alarm can be heard and it was just as they feared another attack
The sound of the alarm caused the Engineers to drop everything and prepare the GMs the rest of the reserve pilots had already gotten inside but all that was left was Ryoko and there were two GMs left inside the Hangar.

Outside in the lunar surface a Komusai shuttle deployed a pair of Gelgoog Marines armed with the standard load out consisting of a 90mm machinegun, spiked shield and other miscellaneous staple weaponry. This was a mere diversion, planned to draw the garrison away while a strike team formed by 2 Rick Doms and a commander type Zaku II attempted to breach into Von Braun's outer neighborhoods.
Ryoko decided to leave Livie under the watchful eye of the medical staff while she ran back to the hangar, climbing into the cockpit of the GM command. She wasn't planning on making it easy on the remnants so she would take a few grenades to complement the 90mm rifle and shield. As much as she didn't believe in them this situation required having the means to play active defense.
THis would be an indoors battle which meant she could simply walk out of the hangar at a normal pace, the GM commands head swiveling so its main sensor could get a bead on any visible attempts at a breach.
