" Son of a bitch!" Lorena had began charging energy on the shield mounted mega particle gun in order to blast the Nightingale at point blank. Her strike was about to connect when she came under fire from a low caliber beam carbine which managed to struck the Delta Plus, making it veer of course therefore missing the swing. With the funnels out of power she had deactivated the NITRO system.
When the Nightingale began bombarding them with missiles, she simply pointed the shield at the swarm, unleashing a final mega particle blast in scattering mode which would catch most of the projectiles in mid air. A couple would strike the feet of her units blowing off parts of the feet but she was still in the game. Using its remaining thrust she would make a turn towards that bizarre Patchwork Gundam, lining up for a high speed beam saber swipe.
" Stay out of this, you brat!"Since Sawyer had been taken out it was now up to her to take on these two and Siegfried would need to go down first.

Instead of running away the Nightingale begins to charge forward as it gripped the beam sabre off of its side before igniting a bright emerald beam.
Its Blade clashed with hers intercepting the path to his ally however it didn't strike to destroy her but to keep locked in a single area. "You fought well but I'm afraid that you have been deceived... Also Siegfried once she's disabled, go to support the others.." His words remarked coldly as the expected her to try again before finally turning his attention briefly to his assistant.
The hip armour cells begin moving on its own as they begin to fold forward like arms igniting beam Sabers of their own as two more begin to lunge forward to stab into her mobile suit aiming to disable her thrusters.

Sonia said nothing for a moment, and was however quick to catch their meaning. She mulled it over in her head not moving and inch."Ah yes, the 'spears'. You are not the first person to come for them. I see you have decided to take a far more direct route to them this time." she said sitting back a little, not as tense as before as she pieced together what exactly was going on."I will tell you this. I never did anything like sending children into combat. That person you showed me, didn't look like much of a child. Then again. Maybe our standards are different?" she said with a chuckle."I recall Zeon sending children against us at the end of the war. Putting kids in Gelgoogs." she said before shaking her head."Regardless. I have no personnel grudge against Mars. Those that do are old and have no eye for the future. I asked the one from before not to fight a war of old men, but they seem intent on something similar. What is your greater goal hmm? This so called great victory? I asked the one who came before not to return to the old man's war. To let the past die, and to put their mind towards a brighter better future. They denied it and left. What future do you wish to build with one of my spears? If I like the answer, you will get what you want."

"I want to protect the people of Mars. To let them make their own paths and story's. I knew I would have to fight one day more than likely but this... This isn't a real war. Not going by what I see here.
If the federation had its back into this we wouldn't be having this conversation. And I beleive that acquiring one of these 'Spears' will reveal the truth back at Mars. ...but if it must be used i would use it to strike the heart of this farce we find ourselves in. To make an example of the old ways time coming to a close.
Even if it means the system descends gradually into pocket empires and lawlessness outside of the earth. It would be better than yet another Grand System engulfing war. But the logician in me says that such lofty ideals are likely to never occur. But I must try atleast to save those who are innocent in this..."
Kotch spoke with determination and fire now. The first emotions to come into his voice during the entire conversation. His mobile suit still didn't waver in it's aim.
"But... We are all soldiers out here. Fighting for our own reasons or reasons we have made our own aren't we? Even those men and women inside the city this momment. All of them trained killers doing what they beleive is right for the side they find themselves on.
But it costs a steep toll of blood. Blood that becomes the oil that greases the machinery of the beast that we all find ourselves trapped within. One that twists up and transforms all who look upon it.
I want... To stop this machines heart cold. Even if I must sacrafice everything that is myself to do so. To fight battles I would abstain from. To even become a tool of the old men if it meant that I could bring this uncaring machines gears to a stuttering halt."
Kotch looked at the cockpit of the Rick Dijeh. His eyes boring into armored hatch searching for Sonias eyes before begining to approach the Rick Dijeh and lowering the beam rifle. Kotch extended the free left hand of the RF Dom showing that Kotch wished to make a contact wire connection.
"If you wish to test my resolve to defend Mars. Then see it in my eyes for yourself."

Sonia was quiet for the longest time, before eventually speaking in a softer voice."I like you. You have fire and conviction." she said dipping her beam rifle a little slowly."I'll help you put an end to this farce, once and for all." she said before lowering her beam rifle completely."I wish there had been people with your courage and determination a long time ago. So, what is it you need me to do to help you along?" she asked genuinely and with a sincere soft voice. She got what he was saying. She agreed with most of what he was saying. To rip out the ways of the old, something had to be done or they would get another system spanning war. She didn't want anyone to ever go through that again. She had gone through it. She had spent the first half of her career fighting the greed and ambition of Zeon while trying to stay true to herself in the face of corrupt and lazy Federation commanders. The second half as an AEUG pilot wanting to fight the authoritarianism and genocide of the Titans. The third half fighting for a corrupt and inept Federation Government that caused itself more problems due to the ignorance and greed of its leaders. She wouldn't defend the actions of Zeon, as dropping colonies and asteroids on Earth and killing millions of people put them on her shit list. But this idea he presented, meant that could possibly never happen again. Pocket empires? A small price to pay in her opinion. Had this been her old boss, she knew what the answer from them would be.

" I was saving my ammo for you, actually." Lorena had caught a glimpse of Siegfried earlier when the NITRO system was active, clearly seeing he was the least of her concerns with Lucius around. The 90mm gatling pod began spinning around just as his first sub arm wielding beam saber stabbed the Delta Kai's left arm, gouging a deep molten hole where the thrusters were.
The recoil of the gun as it fired was enough to send the Delta Kai backwards a short distance, enough to allow her to spray the Nightingale head on with greater impunity, making certain the APHE shells did their nasty work on those subarms.

Siefgried moved back when the Nightingale grabbed the Delta Kai. "Alright sir. I see you can handle this. I'm heading back to the colony." he said, pulling onto the controls. The gundam boosting towards the colony.

Without missing a beat his reactions were swift and to the point as he used his left sub arm to soak up at most of the initial damage before using his dangling right arm as a makeshift shield to protect his head.
The force of the bullet tore through the armour until the mangled husk of metal fell off severing his own arm in the process in order to get close. "Good. I'm sorry for that interruption. Now then we're both badly damaged so let's finish this unless you wish to yield and spar yourself and this base from further damage." He also looked pleased when that the ensign. His eyes refocused upon her with a fearsome determination unyielding to quit even if every last bit of his suit was rendered to ash and cynder.
The massive thrusters of the Nightingale would ignite before the right leg dives forward for a kick in the chest of the mobile suit attempting to crush the unit in a single impact using its way to its advantage to crush down and disable the unit by ramming her into the surface of the base's wall.

"I need your men to stand down as mine will. We will need a small number of 'Spears'... to leave we will also require a ship. A Clop class would do. But aswell my soldiers will need to take some trophys to make things look authentic. Wipe the databases on any mobile suits you wish to part with. They will likely go to a very specific set of labs on mars...
I in any case the deployment of any captured federation machines will likely help to lure out the guilty. I take no pleasure in asking this of you either."
Kotch placed the hand of the RF Dom onto the Rick Dijehs shoulder and established a wire connection.
"Unless of course you know who ordered the assault on mars. Or convinced that party to ordered the assault on mars..."
Kotch then began to broadcast video to the Rick Dijeh now. A direct feed from his cockpit as his head was somewhat slumped forward as if in thought.

"Fraid I don't know who ordered the attack." she said with a shake of her head."I am not exactly kept in on the loop these days." she said with a pause leaning back a little as she examined Kotch's features as they spoke. Now able to get a look at their face she wanted to see how they reacted."Now, I cannot exactly order my men to stand down. not without facing a possible court martial at some point. Would me ordering them to evacuate and abandon said Clop class work for your purposes?" she asked trying to think of a way that wont make this look entirely suspicious on her end.

"That will do... I have already given your city sufficient reason to concentrate your efforts on the remote operations facilities for the generators. The coolant reserves have been purged and the outputs turned up.
The slow flood of minovsky particles, heat, and radiation will cause a "Hot Box" effect over time. Nothing immediately dangerous but nothing eassily handled either. Afterall, we martians are bastards are we not?"
Kotch then looked up at his monitor and with it into Sonia's eyes. The zeon pilot gazed calmly and cooly with emerald disks that caught the light in the cockpit at strange angles.
"I know what you must think of my appearance, but this voice alteration is neccesary to ensure I am treated no differently than any other soldier when deployed."
It was easy to see Kotch was not exactly the man She sounded like. But instead was a young looking woman with Cool red hair.
"If you must explain your percieved failures this day... Simply tell them you were guided by Athena.
I advise you to also evacuate your city to minimize casualties from the assault teams and degrading life support." ---
Inside the colony the first assault team had established a proper presence in engineering. They had begun using that to strike out and raid various areas of the city causing mass damage and even taking prisoners as they proceeded to loot the city.
The second assualt team was still embroiled in a stalemate at the Londo Bell fortress but now were dispatching sapper teams to begin undermining the outter defenses. Even a group of Gera Zulu had began to advance after entering the city after previously remaining hidden while the federation forces were distracted fully.
Overall though the city was as Kotch had said seeing gradual increases in Heat, Radiation, and Minovsky particles. It was also clear to anyone who was informed or noticed this that the Assualt teams had come prepaired in full NBC gear along with shielded wire based communications systems which were now spider webbing through the city along with wired Demolitions charges at various points for a secondary plot to undermine the city should the Assualt fail.

Sawyer tried to wipe the sweat from his brow, his hand smacking the helmet.
"Dammit, I hate this suit sometimes." Sawyer told himself with a grumble.
The dark cockpit was barely lit by the flashlight built into the side of his helmet. Trying to bring a bit of brightness to the console the pilot was working on. Slowly pulling out a board from the console. Pushing it back in, Sawyer rotated another panel under the linear seat and removed it.
"Dammit, rebooting this suit by hand is not easy. I am pretty sure I short circuited the entire system. I can't manage restart it normally, hard booting this machine. I mean it is based on a Gundam. They are pretty robust." Sawyer continued as he worked.
Switching the boards around, he noticed small sparks from the machinery. Pretty soon a standby light was blinking on the main console on the control dash in front of his linear seat.
"There you are baby. Now let's get back into this fight." Sawyer said, crawling back into the seat.

"I understand the need for... anonymity some times. Regardless, give me a moment and it will be done." Sonia said as she switched frequencies."Attention! This is Commander Sonia Lortie. I am issuing a general evacuation order. I repeat, I am issuing a general evacuation order. Regroup and then concentrate efforts on retaking the remote operations facilities. We must retake the generators BEFORE they go critical. These are my orders, follow them." Sonia said over her channel. Across the board her orders would be followed, though perhaps not as cleanly as one would want. It was like a fighting retreat, which would still get them out of their way however. Far less suspicious.
"Now then. You are on a limited timescale before reinforcements arrive. If they get here and you havn't finished, then there is not much i can do for you. Good luck out there."

The Federation response to this chaotic situation was one of containment. Eventually these attackers would need to leave the city and for that they had begun assembling two dozens of Salamis Kai, Clop cruisers and two assault carriers, the Nahal Argama class "Zaragoza" along with the flagship the Admiral Revil. The senior most admiral was not going to waste effort trying to fight the invaders on the ground, it was clear they were decoys so there was no incentive to fall for their game. Instead all f their efforts would focus on not letting anyone escape.
A blockade surrounded Londenium airspace, mobile suits deployed to cover gaps in the perimeter. The fleet had about 6 FAZZ on interception duty supported by every Rezel and Jegan the orbital fleet managed to assemble.
" Oh hell. it's starting to come down now!" Fumiko had been providing close air support to the assault team but it was impossible to miss this massive spike on Federation comms traffic. The blue Rebawoo went back to Lucius, having sustained little damage.
---
Lorena had barely managed to raise the shield in time to block the Nightingale stomp. The larger mobile suit would slam the Delta Kai's back against the hard surface, it's armor cracking in places after the sustained beating it had taken earlier. Lorena knew she was in trouble when some of her screens short circuited, the concussion from her helmet slamming the seat being enough to greatly discomfort her. There was a very good reason to always have the helmet on. The Delta on the other hand had been beaten to submission, suffering power shortages all around.

"In a more ideal world perhaps we might have had an opportunity to meet outside the realm of combat."
Kotch closed her eyes and seemed serene for a fleetingly brief momment. The focus of combat gone, the stress of recent events gone aswell, but most importantly she was seemingly at peace. As she opened her eyes it all came flooding back.
"Perhaps... we could find a way to communicate outside of this hell. I will not hold my breath that it will be experiment or soon. But I beleive we have more to discuss on moving forward from the old mens games."
Kotch wished that she was a Newtype or even cyber Newtype as her mother had wanted. To be able to reach out to others and bare her truest feelings and share understandings. But that was a gift out of her reach, instead her curse was that of a Borderline cyborg and decidedly a tool.
Her counterpart seemed to be on a wavelength simmilar to her own. But it was hard to tell ultimately as everything her mother beat into her screamed this was a federation ploy. But she would need to think on this later.
"I will not waste the gifts you have given me this day. I have only one thing left to offer you... my name."
It was a small gesture but one that had old ties with Honour among soldiers and other combatants. Kotch hoped her counterpart accepted it, she esepecisly hoped it led to something more after this war was exstinguished.
--- Inside the City the first assault group had made its way to the docks. Agressivly they sought to find atleast one ship that could get them off this city. Especially before the federation responded. But as arranged the path of least resistance was leading to a Clop class and with it escape and riches.
The second team was now making a push as the four Gera Zulu broke the defenses. It was only a matter of time before they would get the 'spears'. But what drove the soldiers as much was the chance to take feddie suits, gear, and prisoners. All of it a fair price to pay for what had been done to mars. A direct consequence of the old machines conditioning if one beleived in such ideas, and if one beleived more perhaps it could be thought of as a construct of the collective conciousness of the old types miniscule amount of power, compunded over the human lifetime and taken a life of its own. But now that old type construct had gained it's own power independent of the old types and had begun to drive them with subtle seedling ideas and conditioning.
This was what Kotch had sworn to stop in its tracks. It's machinations now at a critical and vulnerable mass.
