" Don't be too harsh on the lad, dear." The purple haired professor would bow more out of courtesy than anything else. She had taught Emilia different martial arts so she was more than prepared for a simple test such as this one. If anything she wanted to keep her from killing Kyle in quick succession.
She went over to the side of Doctor Matthäus not wanting to be anywhere near in order to not hinder Emilia's movements. Naturally, the Gynoid had been programed to not harm anyone from their family under any circumstances as a failsafe more than anything but that could also limit her functions a great deal.

While it seemed this ‘Kyle’ had rules about sportsmanship Emilia had no compunctions about how to fight. Before Lucia had stepped free from her side Emilia had already advanced, closing the distance and throwing a combination of a knee strike and a kick at the man’s bottom two bottom two floating ribs on his left rib cage, the rest of her stance and posture like that of a thai boxer; balancing on the toes of her supporting leg and the arm opposite her lead strike up in a guard.
Had the doctor not so courteously gotten introductions out of the way she might have given the man a bow of her own and introduced herself, but as it was there wasn’t a need to do that. Sure she had been aware how close her mother was, but she was clever enough to be able to work with her own protective instincts. As it was she was feeling a little aggressive anyway so this arrangement suited her just fine.

Subject Kyle watched Emilia approach him with an unnerved expression getting into a defensive stance. It looked as if he was waiting for somthing, though that somthing would never come. Going wide eyed with surprise he would raise his arms up defensively but have the wind knocked out of him."Remarkable! He cannot sense her hostile intent! His new type ability is totally useless against her!" the Doctor would say astonished as Kyle was getting pummeled by Emilia."His reliance on his newtype ability has proven disastrous." he would add as he started to take notes on a note pad."But lets see how far this can be taken..." the Doctor would add as Kyle continued to be hit.

" Her exosketelon is made from a durable and light ceramic and luna titanium amalgam." Lucia explained that while Emilia's skin and hair was completely natural it was all for the sake of keeping her cyborg nature as a secret. It was obvious the good doctor did not care too much about his test subject well being, Lucia on the other hand didn't want to see as much of a bruise on her precious daughter body, Surely she had referred to her as a simple prototype but she didn't want to admit to her own feelings in front of Ceasar of all people.
" The capabilities of Emilia far surpass any other newtype. Human even highly evolved are nothing but flesh and bone we are so fragile and imperfect. My child on the other hand has none of those weaknesses inherent of the human condition." She spoke softly but with a degree of confidence that was borderline arrogant.

After the man’s third fall Emilia had bowed politely and offered him her hand, pulling him to his feet with surprising gentleness considering how her previous actions had been. Even though she had not exactly obeyed contest rules for this type of thing she had hardly wanted to injure the man and had in fact been pulling her punches.
She turned towards their observers and bowed politely, keeping the smile she felt off of her face. She gave her sparring partner a nod of thanks and honestly felt a little apologetic towards the man. He was a good fighter to be sure but just about everything had been to her advantage. In truth she found the doctor’s distain for the man’s wellbeing to be distasteful. If she wasn’t in front of the man she would have called him barbaric.
“With my own admittion Kyle is a fine newtype and has performed admirably. It is by no fault of his own that I had the advantage, and I would like that stated in the record.”
She looked at the man again and turned back to face the pair of observers. “I would also like to make sure that he is properly looked at after this to make sure I didn’t seriously injure him. I will do it myself if I must. He deserves his own praise for this too as not many people would be on their feet after that first blow.”
She looked at the old man and let her eyes settle on him for just a moment. ‘Especially not you, you geriatric bastard.’ she thought to herself m. Even with a newtype in the room it was exceptionally unlikely that anyone else would have a clue what she had thought to herself. She didn’t like this man already and the way he treated these newtype last would have probably sickened her.

The Doctor would continue to make some notes as Lucia spoke to him."I see, I see..." he said with a nod before looking up as the fight finished. Kyle was catching his breath as he sat there knocked onto his behind. Looking up he would after a brief moment of hesitation take her hand. Then he would reciprocate her bow silently red in the face at how he had been taken down. He had tried to rely on his ability, which had been his first mistake as the doctor might put it."Indeed, it is why he is here after all. But you took him down step by step like a veteran fighter would." he said perhaps exaggerating."Hmm... this gives further credence to my original work... I am a cyber newtype specialist. One of the original ideas was to make it to where oldtypes could keep up..." he would say rubbing his chin with a white gloved hand."This gives some ideas... but for now... I think it is time we get to the main test yes?" he would ask.

Lucia left for the hangar to start making some last minute check ups on the Zorin Soul. It could have been said that this mobile suit was the Banshee's cousin since they both shared the same origin being based on data from the Nu Gundam. These two machines were fairly equal when it came to their specs, one thing was for sure the RX-0 Newtype Destroy mode would be rather useless against Emilia.
Catherine in the meantime was trying to wrap her head around the Banshee unique weapon systems. Surely it came with vulcans and beam sabers but the right hand was equipped with an unique beam gun and a large vibrating claw on the left hand. When the order came to get on her suit she did so without putting it much thought not seeing any reason not to go back inside that cockpit that further expanded her capabilities.

Emilia had followed her mother into the hanger, the helmet painted to match the royal purple and navy blue pilot suit held under one arm. She placed a hand on her mother’s arm and looked up at her machine with a smile on her face. The Zorin Soul was an exceptionally new design, only a small number having rolled off of Anaheim Electronics assembly lines since the suit was designed last year. The machine lacked the original white and blue paint that was standard across the line, it’s colors matching those of her pilot suit. It might have been a vanity touch but Emilia wouldn’t have had it any other way.
The machine was well equipped, carrying a total of four collapsible funnels on its armor as well as the standard array of vulcans, sabers,, a shield, and a beam rifle; with a so called ‘electro-chemical gun’ in the development stage as well There was even an I-field and a Minovski Craft system which had been fully miniaturized and incorporated into the suit itself. The machine was overall an exceptional feat, which is why Emilia had been so determined to pilot it.
She gave her mother a smile and squeezed her arm gently before climbing into her machine’s cockpit. The Zorin Soul itself was not too dissimilar to the universal standard when it came to controls but to the android it didn’t matter that she had removed the standard psychoframe, this machine felt like a true extension of herself.
She patched herself through the external speakers and gave the affirmative that she was ready. It had been a while since she had been able to stretch her mobile suit’s legs so she quietly welcomed the opportunity.

Doctor Cäsar Matthäus was now wearing a normal suit which was a fair bit bulkier then a pilot suit. More between him and the unforgiving vacuum of space, so he was more then fine with it. As they would go to the hangar for this next test he would have used his radio ahead of time. Telling his staff to go ahead and get Catherine ready as they were moving forward with the test. The beat down on the silent subject Kyle had been very informative. He wanted to see how his ultimate project would react to dealing with this Emillia. There was a fair bit more to Catherine then just her new type abilities. Things that perhaps not even Catherine was fully aware of yet, and he was not inclined to tell her about. He briefly considered telling the Professor about Catherine but decided against it, wanting it to be a surprise.
Contacting Catherine while she was in the cockpit of the Banshee the Doctor would speak."Hello Catherine. Today we will be having you go out on an exercise. A one versus one exercise, as I want to see how your capabilities have developed. I know you have come a long way so I am eager to see how much you have accomplished put into practice."

Once again, Catherine's consciousness seemed to leave her body to occupy its place as the Banshee's own control terminal.
" Understood, doctor." Cäsar would be able to hear her whisper like reply resonating in his head. Ever since she set foot inside the RX-0 she could telepathically communicate even with non newtypes.
The Banshee sensors peered into the direction of the purple Zorin Soul, however she couldn't find its pilot which made the brunette wonder what would be taking this person so long. Emilia was a life form she couldn't sense using her telepathic abilities.
Since these were both very expensive prototype machines their combat load out consisted of computer generated fire arms. 90mm loaded with paint ammunition were only really used by the militaries during trainings. These two mobile suits were far too valuable to be mauled by practice rounds.

As Emilia stepped into her cockpit and exhaled. She closed her eyes and blinked, the carmine lenses of her Zorin Soul flashed as she stepped into her larger self. She picked up the 90mm machine gun and felt her shield lock into place before the door to the arena opened and she stepped inside.
Emilia stared at the mobile suit in front of her and felt a bit of unease. She was and truly familiar with just about any mobile suit and it's limitations but this one was new. Both machines paused in front of each other as they entered the arena, sizing up the other for a brief moment.
Emilia made the first move, activating her thrusts for a moment as the minovski drive kicked in and brought the machine well and truly off the ground. Her shield came up and covered her torso and shoulder as she fell backward and flew skyward. Her gun opened fire with a single shot aimed straight at the Banshee's cockpit, trying to gauge the pilot's reactions.

Catherine staggered when she saw this lifeless mobile suit suddenly start moving on it's own power into an attack position. Immediately she thought this was a drone and no matter how powerful of a newtype she had become she couldn't read the thought process of an AI. Thanks to the Full Psycoframe she could control the Gray Banshee with zero input lag, raising the shield to block the incoming shot.
The backpack boosters flared up, propelling the Banshee forwards, followed by the leg thrusters which made it gain altitude to go after the Zorin in pursuit. Her 90mm fired a three round burst as it drew closer.
----
Lucia herself produced a fancy wooden pipe which she procedeed to load with her favorite herbal mixture. The purple haired doctor kept a lighter in her labcoat at all times which she used to light up the pipe, leisurely smoking while the sparring match took place.

Emilia grinned a little when her target gave a small jerk, knowing she’d caught her opponent by surprise. No, opponent wasn’t the right word she decided; this was her plaything. As the other machine moved in to chase her she felt herself smiling. Whatever this machine was, there had to be something special about it’s controls since it didn’t move with the same slight delay in response times that normal machines had that made up such a large part of mobile suit combat. She rolled to the left and as one of the paint rounds splattered against her upraised shield. The other two had passed through where her center of mass had been a moment ago, wizzing by harmlessly. The Zorin Soul accelerated, letting the minovski craft system do most of the hard work. She pointed her machine gun downward and opened fire, flicking between fire modes as she fired five times. One shot was aimed squarely at the bogey’s head, a three round burst towards center of mass, and the final shot aimed low at one of the knee joints, all fired with a near casual precision. She didn’t see any need to take this little excersize seriously so she had yet to really push her mobile suit either.
