Hiro is a complex man, mainly because he appears to be at times goofy, cocky and overconfident. He never takes danger too seriously and can be very humorous at the darkest times. While also possessing a seemingly arrogant personality, he is very passionate about his goals and will pursue them without a trace of fear, hesitation, or sometimes sense.
One of Hiro’s less shown traits is his seriousness, which appears briefly during his speeches and interactions with others, though some occurrences has led him to hold his serious persona for extended periods. While more times than not he demonstrates a goofy cocky and joking nature, Hiro can be serious when the situation calls for it; and when he does, even his friends wisely steps back and move out of his way.
It should be noted that when Hiro becomes serious, the change in personality is quite pronounced. He becomes more focused, his senses more sharp, while at the same time maintaining a degree of calm authority that serves to unnerve those he encounters. He is also generally quieter and more observant to subtle details.

Hiro was born on Jupiter to earth born parents, his father Leone Arjan was Italian and his mother Megumi Yamamoto was Japanese, Hiro was named after his grandfather Hirohide Yamamoto his mothers father. Hiro's parents were both part of the Earth Federation's Space Force which is where they met. His father was a pilot and his mother was an Engineer. His mothre quit the force when she got married to Leone and got pregnant with Hiro, His father stayed with the earth federation. Before being born his parents moved to jupiter. When Hiro was a child he was a hypter curious kid and was always asking his parents questions about their lives before he was born and they would walways tell him stories of how his dad was a mobie suit pilot until Hro was born and that the mother used to be a mobile suit Engineer. When hiro was in schoolhe always strieved to make his parents proud and did well in school. As Hiro got older he started to dream that one day he would become like his father and be a pilot for the Earth Federation his father didnt want that life for his son and would always insist for him to be like his mom and be an Engineer but to work for a company that would pay well and let him live his life as he wanted too.
Hiro admired his dad and respected him but he would not give up on his dream to become a pilot. His mother always supported him and his dream and would constantly fight with Leone to let their kid follow his dream but he didnt want a military life for his son and would always argue back claiming his son was too smart to be taking orders. When Hiro turned 18 he left home and enlisted in the Earth federation Space Force as a pilot and began training. For the first two years he would pilot an old Core Jet and later evolve into piloting a mobile suit. for the remained o the year Hiro was a test Pilot for the EFSF he tested countless new mobile suits and dreamed of having his own. Hiro's dream finally came true for his dedication and skill when the Strike Zeta arrived to the base his commanding officer assigned Hiro to it as well as to a ship.
