1st Lieutenant Misaki Nakajima enjoyed her leisure time drinking the night away at a run down bar close to their barracks in the Jovian capital. She might have been a Federation pilot judging by her attire and jacket but she was still a local Jovian with nothing better to do on a weekend night than find solace on the emptiness of a beer mug.

Ship's Captain Jove Quentin walked in from the street into the old run down bar. He was a fan of such dives, liking the character they had over the sleek cosmetics of more 'commercial' and 'reputable' ventures. As reputable as bars could get in the Jupiter Sphere of course. He breathed in the air and looked around the local bar before confidently strolling further in. Walking up to the bar he took a seat next to Misaki, having taken somewhat an interest in the pilot at a glance. He would motion to the bar tender and signal for one mug of beer."Hey there! Judging from that jacket there you are a pilot?" he said in a half asking kind of way."Shipped in or local?" he asked further.

" I guess anyone would have been able to tell that. You're a pilot too, that much I can tell." Misaki was not expecting any company tonight but she wasn't exactly looking for trouble either.
" Born and raised here, I think we might have seen each other before." The Asian looking girl recognized Jove from somewhere, maybe a long time ago.

"You got that right." he said affirmatively as the bar tender brought him his drink."Was in the Federation Space Forces, just like you." he said as he took a swig appreciating the strong beverage."Also possible." he said trying to think back."You seem familiar, but I just cannot place my finger on it." he said before giving a shrug."How many years you been in the space forces?" he asked out of curiosity.

" Three years working for the man. I could have gone to the JSDF but the Federation gets the better equipment." Misaki sent back the empty mug, ordering another one. As soon as it was sent her way she took a long gulp, obviously quite thirsty after a long deployment.
" Maybe at school, I dont think i've ever seen you in uniform before." She added, setting her cold mug down.

"Three years huh? Spent four years myself and got out." Jove said before taking a long gulp of his beer."But yeah, from what I can tell the JSDF gets hand me downs or budget equipment for the most part." he said looking into his drink."Energy fleet can afford better stuff though..." he said with a pause before looking back to her."Could of been at school. Coupe or so grades apart maybe? Eh..." Jove said not entirely sure having a hard time recalling all the people he knew from back then."Anyhow, how do you like being a Federation pilot?" he asked before finishing he drink before motioning for another.

" it's been hard lately, been feeling pretty lonely up there doing long range patrols on my own." Misaki was able to connect quite easily with Jove since they both were Jovian newtypes after all. When talking to him words came out of her mouth as she thought of them, not bothering to hide anything to him.
" That's likely where we've seen each other before. We're both in our mid 20s and from around here after all." The Asian girl would add, taking notice how carelessly he was drinking.

"Lonely huh?" he asked taking another sip, indeed drinking a tad carelessly. He sighed setting the mug down staring at it for a moment."I know that feeling. Just you and the void of space..." he said remembering such missions himself."I haul H3 these days." he would say staring at the mug a bit more."Yeah." he said picking up the mug once more."Makes sense. Small world eh?" he asked taking a somewhat smaller sip."What do you pilot?"

" A mass produced Delta Gundam variant." Misaki answered, knowing Jove would have an idea since he too had been with the Federation. It was unlikely for the feds to give powerful attack units to promising pilots young or old.
Misaki was getting more and more curious about Jove's choice of career. H3 job was always on high demand and from the looks of it he seemed to be doing rather well himself. " Do you know if anyone would be interested in hiring someone like me for a similar job as yours?"

Jove took another sip of his beer."A Mp Delta Gundam? Nice mobile suit." he complimented."Never got put in the seat of a MP Gundam myself. Hear they are wonderful to pilot." he said breathing out a little. However what she said next peaked his curiosity as he would look to her."Well, I might know a guy." Jove said thinking for a moment."I'm specifically an associate of the Jupiter Energy Fleet. A Ship's Captain." he said taking another sip."Takes some extra capital to get your own ship and crew put together. Otherwise I would just say keep an eye out for Energy Fleet Postings." he said thinking for a moment."But I do know a guy." he said looking back to her rubbing his chin a little."Weve actually been planning on an expansion of our fleet..." he mumbled a little."You still got another year in the space forces though and I wont be here too much longer." he said with a shrug."Though... what do you think of the Federation?"

" It truly is a joy to fly. It does everything you want it to do well, maneuvers as smoothly as silk but can also pack a punch." Misaki couldn't find anything wrong with her mount at the time. Had it not been for that Jagd Doga pilot threatening to blow the entire H3 depot, Misaki was quite certain she could have been able to take him down in an even fight.
" I am most certainly interested if you are looking to employ me. This year will go by quickly and once it does you bet I am going to ring you guys up." Misaki would exchange contact information with Jove, warming up to the idea of becoming an independent.
" What can I say about the Federation? I only really joined because I wanted to fly the better toys they have but other than that I don't care much for them." She would simply add.

Jove gave a slight smirk to what she had said in the last part as he neatly tucked away her contact info."Well, you can be assured that if you join us there will plenty of good toys." Jove said knowing how Citrio was building up his fleet of mobile suits. Not to mention he eventually wanted to upgrade the mobile suits he had. "But yeah, hit me up once the year is out. We always have a place for skilled officers and pilots. Especially ones who have no true preference towards the Federation." he said perhaps a little vaguely. Jove would finish drinking his second beer before motioning for a third one, starting to feel warm as well as other things."I'm still in the Jupiter Sphere for a little while longer. I need to hit up some... contractors to discuss the expansion of our little H3 fleet." Jove said referring to AE whether she knew it or not. AE Jupiter was a large supplier of the JSDF as well as the Federation in these parts.
