Edwards Colony, Side 5 Not long after the events of a blast from the past...
Doctor Matthäus walked in a stern barely restrained fashion coming up to a pair of doors which he very dramatically shoved open barging into a debrief room."Morons! You let my subject getaway! Not only that but you let those Zeon Remnants getaway! incompetent the lot of you! Losing him the same hour you put him in a cell. I see they let any brain dead moron who can hold a control stick into the--" Doctor Matthäus was interrupted as Ronan stood up and punched him in the face with a none too pleased expression on his face. The Doctor stumbled back in surprise and disbelief."You dare assault me! Who are you!" the Doctor said furiously."What? Are you joking?" Ronan questioned."You come in here after everything you did and expect a warm welcome to your mad rambling? You have some nerve I should~" he started to reach for his service pistol but reconsidered."My boy! I've never met you in my life." this only seemed to piss Ronan off more."Yes, you have! You made Shenna forget, you messed her up in the head!" the Doctor seemed confused but then seemed to recall."Ah yes, Shenna! She was a bit of a failure of an experiment. In the end, her loyalty is what to her death, not I." the Doctor said pointing to himself."Or rather... oh what was his name... His person was of that Flower Knight..." The Doctor said thinking hard."Regardless! You must retrieve him! It is your job to hunt down Zeon is it not?" |

Captain Ryoko Kihara had been with Ronan in the debriefing room. Their base had been almost demolished during the raid so they had moved to one of the war ships docked at Edwards space port.
" I don't give a rat ass who you are! We don't take orders from Augusta's egg heads." The fierce green haired Captain had no problem letting Ronan slam his fist into the Doctor's face.
" We're wasting our time with these people, master." Fatima had entered the room right behind the doctor. She'd been knocked unconscious in the prior engagement but had seemingly recovered after a short while thanks to the protective head gear she'd worn. The raven haired cyber newtype would shoot Ronan a cold stare, warning him to not try what he had been previously considered.

These Morons were clearly violent, and he couldn't even recall who this Ronan person was, but for some reason, they knew him. How could he be expected to recall the face of every single person he wronged? he only had the slightest memory of the incident just because of how much of a failure it was. Typical emotional knuckle draggers... but they could be his useful idiots with some... manipulation."I disagree Fatima." the Doctor would say adjusting his tie."While you do not have to do what I say, it is in your best interest to go after these Zeon types. In fact, it's your job Captain." he said in a less aggressive way then when he had started."However, as things are you stand no chance against them. By my estimation, they have two new types. In fact, my dear Fatima can confirm that rather easily. Now, Ronan, you have fought new types before yes? Very difficult opponents. You will not survive without my help, and help is what I am willing to provide. I bring with me a host of... equipment that will even the odds and even gives you the edge you need. Plus Ronan, you are in the need of a new mobile suit..." the Doctor would say before looking to the Captain."It is on this ship, currently in the hanger beside Fatima's intended mobile suit." he said all the while Ronan glared at him in distrust arms crossed.
Ronan obviously did not have a high opinion of the Doctor and blamed him for a number of things that had happened. But his main issue was with the Rosen Knight as he called himself. Should he consider using this man's offered equipment? He glanced over to Fatima who was giving him a cold stare before looking to Ryoko."Weve encountered his work before Ma'am." he would say in case she needed a memory jog.

The eighteen year old cyber newtype would cuddle up to the Doctor's arms, not caring if she got any odds looks from these two. She could read them like open books but cared little of it.
In the closing stages of the on year war, Ryoko and Ronan had ran into a freak show menagerie of strange Zeon made mobile armors with newtypes at their helm. She remembered that Sheena girl in her nightmares. " I guess the more things change the more they stay the fucking same!" She would grumble, just like Ronan she didn't want to accept the Doctor's help more out of distrust than anything.
" How do we know you're not going to try and screw us over? We've seen how little you care about your test subjects and we ain't nobody's guinea pigs." While it was true that their mobile suits had been wrecked in the previous fire fight she wasn't keen on taking Casar's offer.

"Because it is in my best interests for you to succeed. There is also a lot better data collection involved if I don't sabotage you from the start," he told them rather plainly, though he had fibbed a little. What he had in mind for them could prove to be rather degrading over time, to say the least. But, that was a long term worry regardless, if they did their jobs they wouldn't be any the wiser."I want to see how this equipment I am going to give you does against New Types, and I will want to at least try and get Sigstein back under my care. Zeon removed him from my lab before I could unlock the mysteries behind the awakening of newtype powers! Sent him to some foolishness involving a rear lines unit on side 3." he said rather dismissively of the reasons he had his subjects taken away."So? What do you two say? I have the equipment, you have the need, and our interests are more or less aligned." he said having very much allowed Fatima to take him by the arm cuddling up to him. Ronan still seemed unsure, and very obviously disliked the doctor."Before anything. What exactly are you offering? No bullshit. You seem to be offering a lot." to which the Doctor smiled."I think you will want to see them before I speak of them. How about it? Will you take me up on my offer?"

While the two Titan officers were speaking to Doctor Matthäus, they would hear the door to the debrief room being opened. Federation Captain Amelie Devereux limped in, looking fairly dirty and with quite a few bandages on her face and arms. And there were possibly others. Her teeth were clenched as she stepped into the room, looking at the people who were gathered there. But when she saw Fatima, cuddled up next to the doctor, the brunette immediately saw red.
After Sig had managed to knock her out and flew off, Amelie had remained where she was for a while longer. The sounds of mobile suits fighting were still going on around her. Once it finally stopped, she slowly left where she'd been hiding and stepped away from the rock. As she did, she'd seen the cyber newtype being pulled from the mobile suit that had very nearly killed her. She didn't say a word at first, practically marching over toward the doctor and his assistant. As soon as she was close enough, she pulled her hand back, balled it up into a tight fist, and punched her right in the face. She was ignoring the pain in her arms as she grabbed the dark-haired girl with her both hands, wrenching her away from the doctor and slamming her up against a wall. "You nearly killed me, you bitch!" she screamed at her, punching her again.

Captain Kihara couldn't shake this feeling of mistrust. Her eyes were fixated on the doctor not believing any word that came out of his mouth. " Very well, show us what you got for us." As skeptical as she was she wanted to take a good look at the contraptions he'd come up with to combat newtypes.
It was then when the door was opened by Amelie of all people. Ryoko was aware she'd been rescued and was shocked to hear that Fatima had nearly killed her.
After getting that nasty head wound, Fatima had taken a medication that inhibited that sixth sense that allowed her to sense hostile intents albeit briefly. When Amelie's bailed up fist made contact with her face she recoiled back, gasping deeply only to be pried away from the doctor and slammed into a wall. Before she could form up a coherent sentence a second punch to the face made her see stars as blood began pouring from her nose.
The cyber newtype was quite delicate and unable to fight like this.

"Very good! If you are unable to take me by my word, then at the very least the physical evidence shall sway you." he said with a wide and open gesture."I am sure this cannot be the first time either of you have been given the chance to pilot top of the line suits either! You are in the Titans afterall." Doctor Matthäus said though Ronan stared at him with distrust."I don't know..." he said with a sigh as he touched the bridge of his nose."I think you are taking this rather lightly." Ronan said not liking how happy the doctor seemed about all of this. But before the Doctor could say anything Captain Devareux came in."Captain! Captain! Please!" Doctor Matthäus began to say."I'm sure what ever happened was just unintended collateral damage! She meant no harm to you. But she was trying to disable the boy's mobile suit." the Doctor said trying to reason with the Federation Captain. Lieutenant commander Lortie came into the door and leaned up against the frame looking midly uninterested. Her uniform was scuffed up and covered with dust from when the base literally came down around her."I don't think I've ever seen her so mad." she said casually.

Amelie had been completely focused on Fatima, not holding back on the girl who had tried and almost succeeded in killing her. If it wasn't for Sig, she wouldn't have survived and made it back here. But she heard Doctor Matthäus calling to her, trying to get her to stop. She slammed the girl against the wall again before he tried to explain her actions away. She turned to look at him in an instant, her eyes and the expression on her bandaged face showing how angry she was. "Not. Another. Word," she said. "Don't you DARE try to tell me what did and didn't happen. She had plenty of opportunity to 'disable' his suit." Her hands were gripping Fatima's shoulders tightly now. It was obvious she was in no mode to be 'reasoned with' by him. "But instead she flew up over the forest... aimed her weapon AT ME and fired. If the boy hadn't gotten in the way, she could have made up whatever story she wanted."
The brunette was still seething as she looked at Fatima again, pulling her toward her before slamming her back against the wall. She let go of her, breathing harder as she glanced toward the door where she'd heard Sonia's voice coming from. She started to limp toward her, stopping halfway and taking a breath. "Doctor. I don't give a damn why you're here or what you have to say. I want you... and her... gone. Now." She started walking again, up to Sonia. "Let's go..." she said to her lieutenant commander before making her way out of the room. She didn't even know where she wanted to go. She just needed to be away from those two.

Ryoko was not in the least surprised to see that the doctor and his girl seemed to attract a lot of negative attention. Hearing Amelie's testimony about what had gone down only made it clear they couldn't trust Casar. While it was difficult to feel sympathy for this Fatima lass it appeared Amelie had successfully pummeled her into submission.
The bruised raven haired girl grunted each time she was forcefully slammed against the solid walls. Her legs gave out on her completely, stumbling on her way down to the floor once Captain Amelie was done wit her. Even though Amelie had gotten her nose to bleed there wasn't anything broken but she would be out of action for at least an entire day.

Sonia gave a little mock salute to the Titans with a smirk on her face before following her Captain on out. The Lieutenant commander knew better then to say anything as her Captain was understandably pissed. However she would follow her as requested and would be a ready and willing ear. A rather frustrated and disappointed looking Cäsar sighed as he looked at the collapsed Fatima. Then he looked to the rather unsympathetic Ronan and then to Captain Ryoko."Well, you heard her. She wants me to leave." Cäsar said with a shrug."I am afraid unless you countermand her order I will have no choice but to do so. As well as take the mobile suits that the Augusta Institute was willing to provide." Cäsar said walking over to Fatima giving her a glance before looking back to the Titan Captain."I am a man of science. Not everything can be a success. But, when a success happens it is noteworthy. I think that being with Augusta and working with the Titans will bring many successes. You both chose to join this organisation for a reason correct?" he said thought he detected that Ronan was not really buying it as he gave them a death stare. Ronan had no reason to trust him, no reason at all what so ever. If the Federation Captain wanted him gone they could get their resources elsewhere."Well then... a peace offering?" Cäsar said with a gesture causing Ronan to raise an eyebrow."Captain Kihara. I hereby tranfer Fatima to be under your command. The girl is rather good at what she does, but perhaps she could use some direction no?"

" Does that girl means nothing to you? Nevermind that, I think I know the answer to that question." The green haired woman was clearly talking about Fatima who laid all stumped up against the wall.
" Unfortunately, you are indeed right.there's a job we must do. We'll have to work together from here on out if we want to catch those Zeeks." Ryoko was in a difficult situation not able to refuse Casar's help after suffering that humiliation at their hands.
" We don't intend to stay here forever. We are being transferred to one of our own Alexandrias." Ryoko agreed to relocate all of the doctor's equipment over to the Titans own carrier who was intended to arrive soon.

A few hours later ...
Ryoko meet up with Ronan at the Alexandria enlarged hangar bay. " I know what you're thinking. There's something to be said about keeping one enemies closer, at least this way we can keep a close eye on that doctor." At this point it was worth using every advantage they could get.
" Once we're done with this, let's frag the old bastard. You just saw it today no one is going to miss his ass ... " She would whisper to him.

"I certainly wouldn't" Ronan confessed."He is just one more loose end from the war... not the main one... just one of." he said with a small shrug."So long as we keep him around... that puts him in range of the explosions." he agreed in that if they kept him around they could keep an eye on him, and ensure that they could be rid of him when they needed to."Though it also means he can watch us closer..." he said before shaking his head."Anyways... what are these things called? GM Sniper III and..." he thought for a moment."GM Sniper III Medium Range Support Type." man that was a mouthful."Oh and the Gundam." he said gesturing to the RX-78T Gundam Titans Version."Cutting edge stuff..."

" Fuck that name! i'll just call it GM Cannon III." Ryoko was not going to use three long words whenever someone asked about her particular choice of mobile suit The support type armament configuration reminded her of the original RGM-80. The base Sniper III was more up to Ronan's speed, after all.
Not only that but there was also an RX-78 albeit a more refined looking one than the prototypes produced during the one year war. Ryoko was not interested on any Gundams, finding the GMs more than suitable to deal with whatever the Zeeks had on their inventory- Newtypes or not.
" These look nice and new. I wonder if their performance is that much of an upgrade over our previous models. Guess we'll have to find out." Prior to taking them on a real battle, Ryoko wanted to get more familiarized with these new models particular tricks.
