After that lengthy excursion into Martian territory former Commodore Marina Von Witzland was left exhausted. She would have taken a vacation had not been for being found out guilty on the charges of high treason which added another 3 long months of leading her scattered forces to Jupiter. Now, safely tucked away in her allies sphere of influence she could finally lay down inside her personal quarters.
Only very few individuals were allowed to meet with her like this- armed guards posted nearby at all times. Her relatives and trusted officers were the only ones that could see the 43 year old woman when she was resting out of her uniform. Inside the dimly lit living quarters, Marina laid in bed wearing only lacy black underwear, her long hair completely loose. Since her husband was getting acquainted with her niece Lucia, she'd opted for having Faustino keep her company, using his muscular figure as a man sized pillow, her arms hooked around his waist while her head rested on his chest.

Faustino had found himself as more of a confidante than a bodyguard over the last three months and indeed found himself closer than that as well. The former commodore had found a kindred spirit on their journey and the two had been often found together during their voyage into mars space. This was not the only time he had been invited to her quarters though it was the first it had happened since they had returned to where she held sway.
He lay there clad in only his skin, as per the ex-commodore’s request, and a hand rested against the soft, pale skin of her cheek. His hair had come loose out of its usual tight ponytail and mixed with hers surrounding them with a field of mixed blue and white that spread out over the bedding. Like this he had taken on a different air. Gone for the moment was the usual smug detachment and instead he seemed far more gentle; like this his attitude could easily be seen as caring though he seldom ever wanted to be acknowledged as such. He knew just how exactly her husband was becoming acquainted with her niece and most probably his sister so for the moment he was content to lay as they were.

Marina's left arm was a metallic prosthesis from the mid elbow down. Usually she removed it whenever she slept with someone else, however Faust expressed no inconvenience about the metallic limb whatsoever. Deep down, Marina wished to be more like Lucia's children: Not restricted by a flesh and blood body. As the years went by she realized aging was starting to take it's toll on her but she'd always tried her best to delay it and yet her efforts weren't enough. It had been very difficult for her to conceive two of Citrio's children to the point it had been borderline miraculous she was able to give birth to two perfectly healthy infants.
That run with the Martians was supposed to be the nice ribbon she would have used to end her military career with the Federation, retiring as a hero and with an admiralty rank and now it was all gone. Deep down she knew she'd been the architect of her own downfall by cutting that deal with the Mars Zeon people, all she could do now was go along with a riskier plan.
Grand plans aside, her body was still very much frail and in need of rest. For the time being she laid in bed, hugging the sides of the blue haired android, finding comfort in his warm embrace. " I don't know where I'd be without your help ... " The woman softly sighed, her eyes still closed.

Faustino rubbed Marina’s artificial arm and closed his eyes to think. To him the metallic limb was somewhat an object of fascination and was a source of no discomfort whatsoever. In a way it was the source of some odd bemusement in the android: he wondered what would happen to him if he ever lost a limb. It also made him wonder in what way his own experience functioned. Whether a human was a soul in a body or a body with a soul had been the source of worry from many an existential crisis and it wasn’t much different for him either.
He smiled a little at her question and there was a smile sound of a chuckle. He knew she was trying to speak rhetorically but the smartass answer had been the first in mind though he held against it. The gentle touch of his fingers left her arm and slowly traveled up to her cheek where it lay in the palm of his hand.
“I only do my part.” he replied comfortingly once he had thought of an answer. It was a simple reply but it was true. Leaving her to handle everything on her own was hardly in his nature, and he had been told to provide her with assistance. If she had expected it to out like this when he had arrived Lucia hadn’t said a word of it to him.
