February UC 0084 Approaching the airspace above the lunar city of Granada
The Sobek was one of a handful Tivvay class cruisers assembled before the end of the One Year War, it had received that name prior to the cessation of hostilities yet their current owners saw fit to keep it mostly because they couldn't come up with a better alternative. Lt. Commander Clara Marquez had inherited the ship after it's last captain was crushed by the swinging arm of a Federation GM about a year ago during the climax of Operation Stardust. Had it not been for Sigstein and Cornelius efforts that would have been the end for everyone aboard.
They had been lucky back then, managing to find refugee in that colony they just now managed to flee. Clara was visibly upset that had to happen after the trouble they went trough leaving the war behind only for the Titans to show up with the full intent of dragging them down another bloody path of misery. Clara was sick of fighting, having gotten her fill so many years ago but she couldn't abandon Cornelius nor Sigstein. Their former allegiance to Zeon wasn't something they could wash away.
Earlier she'd scheduled a meeting with representatives of AE who managed to give the information about a route they could follow to avoid any Federation patrols. They were even given Anaheim codes to mislead the control stations along the way. Worse case scenario they would exchange the favor for service as mercenaries to settle under the law corporate disputes, going from Zeon soldiers to mere thugs but in Clara's view there wasn't much difference either way, what mattered the most to her was keeping her comrades safe even if it meant selling her body.

Sig quietly floated through the corridors of the Sobek as it approached the Lunar City of Granada. During the war it had fallen to Zeon Forces early and had become the base of operations for Kycilia Zabi. The picture of the Act Zaku flashed through his mind, it still sported her colors. Sig hadn't been there when it came into the possession of the Sobek, and didn't really know when or how it got it's internals fried. But he longed to see it capable again, a mystery within a mystery, a last ditch hope... He almost bumped into the bridge door lost in thought but stopped himself. Entering he would quietly come up by the Captain wanting to watch their approach. There he saw it, the moon itself, it's surface, and how they were approaching it in such silence traversing through the void. It was rather beautiful, to see this other world he had only ever seen as a dinner plate in the sky or windows of a colony before. A look of wonder and the same feeling filled him to the brim.

Cornelius had arrived on the bridge shortly after the moon had become visible to the eye and had stood there quietly until he heard the bulkhead open. He had been lost in thought on his past days and how he had wound up here. By the time he was being paraded as an ace and an example of the fighting spirit of Zeon and it’s people he had become disillusioned with the notion and would have happily disappeared from this had circumstances not put him aboard a ship destined to come into the possession of Zeon remnants. By the time of Operation Stardust he came to accept that the only way he could ever return to a normal life was if there was some kind of major change. He had considered doing his best to find a normal life on the colony they had just abandoned but his conscience had made it impossible for him to just abandon his colleagues.
He turned his head to look at Sig while he entered before turning his attention back towards the moon for a moment, holding his tongue silently. This was as close as he had gotten to his original home since the time of the One Year War when he had found himself bivouacked in the sleepy little town he had been born in only to feel like some kind of invader rather than a person returning home. Given the chance he would have happily found a new life there, someplace where himself and the rest of the crew could retire and start up a normal life but there were those among the crew that never would have accepted that. He wasn’t quite sure if he himself could ever return to a normal life after what he had been through, but a chance to retire was an idea he still occasionally toyed at. Life back on the colony had been something he had almost managed to acclamate to until he had been forced to return to old habits at the drop of a hat.
Now that the lunar city was in view he glanced at the captain and wondered what it would have taken to get her to agree to live a normal life but it was clear she never would have agreed to that. Part of him hoped that they would somehow fall under the shady umbrella cast by the monolithic corporation they were meeting but the notion felt like changing one form of bad fate for another.

" Turns out our luck hasn't ran out just yet." Clara would get up from the commander's chair, coming closer to Cornelius and before too long Sigstein also made an entrance to the bridge.
" We managed to give those feddies the slip all thanks to the two of you ... once more." There was no denying both of them played major parts seeing this ship to safety and for that Clara would be forever grateful, all she could do right now was hold onto their hands, offering a warm comforting smile to the two young males she now considered to be closer than even her own family.
Clara loved both of these men but she wouldn't play any favorites, preferring to give them an equal share of her own affection. Cornelius was mellow and moody but she loved him just as much as the energetic and cheery Sigstein.
The Sobek was scheduled to be received by one of the cities many hidden docking bays, from there the cruiser would be transported underground to a safe location under the jurisdiction of Anaheim Electronics. The privately owned firm had a very good reason to give shelter to this rag tag group of Zeon remnants, recognizing their skills in dealing with the Titans. Formidable fighters such as themselves were always needed to grease the wheels of the next conflict from which AE would most certainly profit.

Sig looked back to Clara and smiled his feelings warm and partially excited as they made their approach. He gently would grip Clara's hand back appreciating the gesture. While he had not been there for Operation Stardust, and in fact had been held back for some time Clara had gone out of her way to make him feel like a part of this unit. Gently Sig ran his thumb over the top of her hand letting out a gentle breath. Looking back towards the moon he would watch for some time. While Sig was not familiar with the reasons behind why they were being given a safe place to dock, it was a load off the shoulders of the mind.

Cornelius’s grip on Clara’s hand was firm but protective as he kept his eyes on the moon in front of him. He appreciated the gesture but his mind didn’t wander. Like always his eyes were focused on what was in front of him. This was how he had survived Operation Stardust as well as the war before it.
In a situation such as this he was usually fairly impassive. He knew that at times this made him seem cold and detached but he had learned a long time ago that in moments like these it was best not to relax until he knew they were safe. Some of the crew was having a party belowdecks celebrating their safe arrival but he never would have attended until they were already in port.
“Captain, do you know why they’v allowed us clearance to land ?” he asked quietly. He knew that Granada was technically a free port independent of the Federation but there was certainly some kind of catch to all this, and he doubted that she’d have the answer either.

" They must think we can be of use." Clara replied back without putting much thought on the answer. AE was a company and their reason to exist was to gain profit. If they were willing to extend their hand to help then it was because they certainly had something to gain from even a rag tag group as themselves. On automatic pilot, the Tivvay was perfectly capable of fitting through the port, after all Granada was the place where the Sobek had been laid down.
Their hosts at Anaheim had arranged for them to have access to these underground facilities without much restriction. There were no armed guards or anything so they were responsible of their own security. A company representative greeted them, showing the three of them the full extent to this underground depot. The company had no qualms letting them use all of the spare parts that had been left over after the war.

Sig had stayed by the side of Cornelius and Clara from the moment they were greeted by the AE Representative. He stuck close to them as the AE rep began showing them around the depot. Stores left over from the war, mobile suits in various states of assembly lined up."We have a uh... Act Zaku... some of the electronics in the cockpit are fried. Some of the field motors are shot too..." he said trailing off a little."Can we have parts to repair it?" something was distracting him, from the corner of his eye though he focused on them. Upon being told by the AE rep that they could have all the spare parts they needed Sig nodded.
But as the three of them were talking Sig slinked off having seen something in a back row. Making his way past a Gelgoog moving between it and a Zaku II F2 he went to a back row. Mobile suits on configurable storage racks. But he looked up, seeing something most peculiar. He hadn't seen this kind of mobile suit before, it struck him as being out of place."Whats this?" Sig called out looking up at a prototype mobile suit, a MSN-01 Kikeroga as it would be called. Next to it was a MS-06Z Psycommu System Zaku and they both stood side by side on storage racks. He tilted his head curiously looking up at them. They were oddly shaped... no, they were shaped different then to what he was used to. They had large fingers, sort of like the Gouf? One had two beam cannons on it's shoulders. They stood there silently not revealing their secrets. Sig couldn't help though feeling like he HAD seen them before.

Cornelius had noticed as the younger newtype slipped off and hardly spared it a glance over his shoulder. He could already feel the direction the boy was heading and would be sure to check out whatever he’d seen later. It was difficult to get away from the older newtype unnoticed since he was almost always on guard after living on the run for so long. He held no illusions about whether or not he would have been able to handle the forces at the Titans base or the runin with the federation ship all on his own and had been meaning to thank the boy for it. The Captain had desired his attentions before he had gotten around to it.
“Upgrading the reactor and applying magnetic coating to the Rick Dom II are the most intensive upgrades we have for the time being. There are others I have considered but for the meantime those two are the most pressing. You’ll see a list of spare weapons I would like to have available as well but those shouldn’t be an issue.” He handed the representative a small shief of paperwork he had filled in advance. It detailed a list of progressive changes he wanted to make in the machine as well further equipment that would be needed for some of it. The list was a bit odd but not too peculiar, but as one looked at it the document began to seem as if the pilot had begun to speculate on the implications of what he was considering and began to feel like the start of some type of development plan. “I have the personal finances at hand in order to fully pay for the first steps in retrofitting out of pocket but tell me something. A few years ago I managed to talk some information out of a tech who had been on your company’s payroll and they mentioned something about what sounded like a spherical cockpit. This type of technology sounds useful but would it be possible to arrange a hands on demonstration before I decide to purchase?”

Cornelius offering was good but not needed. Anaheim was more than willing to cover their expenses and it wouldn't cost them a dime. They had the facilities and the manpower to cover all costs.
" You want those old mobile suits they are yours." The representative had already been given orders to let Clara's group clear their stock since their Hizack production was being kicked into high hear.
" Panoramic cockpit, yes! Those are set to become the new standard issue. We have already converted most new GM models to use those, suppose it wouldn't be an issue to get you all one each for the time being." The man corrected Cornelius before continuing in.
" Ladies and Gentlemen we're here to fund your endeavors against the Titans. We'll see you're paid a salary to make it worthwhile."

Sig glanced back beyond the mobile suits as his comrades spoke to the AE representative. Then he looked back up to the two strange mobile suits before him. He walked up to the foot of the MSN-01 Kikeroga and placed a hand on it. Running his hand over the foot of the machine for a moment he breathed out. He wasn't sure what it was, what it was meant for, or anything like that though the MS-06Z Psycommu System Zaku next to it seemed somewhat familiar. Turning around he would head back to the group as the Rep would tell them that they were here to help in their fight against the Titans. There was something fishy about this, why would a corporation want to get involved? Regardless he walked up to the rep with a curious look in his eye."Excuse me but... What are those?" he asked pointing beyond the Zaku F2 to the pair of prototype mobile suits."Can we have them?"

Cornelius glanced at his captain when they were told that not only were they being paid for this but that they could also use the remaining stocks of old suits as they saw fit. It sounded to him that they were now the most well equipped group of remnants left, and being backed under the table by AE as well. It all sounded too good to be true. He was about the thank the representative for their generosity when Sigizmund arrived.
He cleared his throat once and tried to relax his posture but it didn’t do much. “Well, I would like to have a chance to familiarize myself with the new cockpit system before it is installed in my mobile suit. In a GM if possible. I spent some time behind the controls of one during the war so it would be nice to see how a newer one handles compared to the older models. The unit I used was practically an antique by modern technological standards so I am curious to try out a new one. For comparison’s sake, of course.”
