A Japanese orphan who lost his family before the One Year War. He was one of many orphans who would end up being taken in by the Murasame Institute. He was worked on alongside Zero Murasame who had entered the program earlier. During the development and testing of the new Cyber-Newtypes, Kyosuke had better results and was designated as One Murasame as he was considered to be their best work and future representative, as such they used Zero as the prototype and because of that he was considered ready for deployment sooner. Unfortunately for Kyosuke, Zero had ended up abandoning the Federation and went into hiding, not wanting this to happen a second time, the Murasame Institute took more harsh methods in trying to keep Kyosuke in their possession. They tried experimental procedures hoping to increase his conditioning and their control, but unfortunately the new procedures ended up damaging their top candidate as they began to cause issues with his mental health, he became more wild at times, shifting between his normal self and one which was more rebellious, angry, and harder to control. It was once this happened that they tried other methods to keep him controlled, they would keep him restrained when not being used for piloting or testing, he would fight against these restraints often which led to scarring on his wrists and legs. When not restrained in his room he was kept in line by a two-part system, one was a collar which had the ability to inject him with sedative and could also send a signal to a chip they had implanted in his mind that would cause immense pain when a remote was used. The surgery used for that implant caused a scar on his forehead.
Everyday while he was alone and they were plotting other ways to "fix" him, he would plot a way to escape from the Institutes control, he had once loved this place, but sadly with Zero's departure causing a panic and the fracture of his mental health, the Institute had become hell. Thankfully for him, he had been taught plenty by the Institute, all the necessary information he would need to be an effective pilot. It was in all that information that he found what he needed to escape, he simply had to wait for the right time, and soon enough it came. The Murasame Institute feeling they had gained enough control over him and needing to test out their newest mobile suit, the NT-X, they sent him out on a deployment with a Titans unit, giving them the remote and other things they would need to keep him in line. It wasn't long before the Titans came into conflict with Zeon troops in space and during the conflict he used the dense Minovsky Particles around the enemy ship to block out a possible signal from the remote that would be used against him and would then use the NT-X to destroy the mobile suit of the Titans commander that was controlling it. He would signal to the Zeonic ship and after helping them in the battle and deactivating his suit for them they eventually accepted him in. He would gain their trust over time as he helped them fight off the Titans and in time they would come to manage to remove his implant and his collar, he no longer has to wear it, though occasionally he does as a reminder to himself of why he is still fighting.
