PERSONALITY TRAITS |
---|
As most would be when thrust into being an ace semi against their will, Joshy is somewhat overconfident in themselves, although still being mostly realistic as their combat style constantly reminds them to be. While they do occasionally overestimate themselves, they know when to knock off the dangerous manoeuvres, and are not 'stupid' to the point of being nigh-suicidal. They, especially in more dangerous situations, and, of course, he gets into dangerous situations quite often, swear like a sailor, this being roughly understandable considering his circumstances, in battle or as a whole. Joshy is extremely socially awkward, barely able to hold a conversation most of the time unless it involves him being expected to do something far beyond, or within, his capabilities and him fervently rejecting it out of a desire to not fucking die. The above does not mean they won't occasionally try, they have to sometimes, of course; they are just really bad at talking to people. Except for the above scenario and when insulting enemy pilots. Which he does a lot to help himself calm down.

BIOGRAPHY |
---|
Although he had participated in the One Year War, the Shooting Star is not an ace pilot one would have heard of up until UC 0081; Mainly because he barely even did anything. He was never deployed in actual combat, instead just being relegated to manning a Work Zaku unit behind the frontlines, digging Mobile Suit sized trenches and helping to build the occasional fort. Throughout the entire war, Joshy Grayson had not fired a single shot in aggression. It is because of this that he managed to escape the Earth, and, although he was drafted into the Space Attack Force near the end of the war like many others, continued to remain somehow undeployed until the very end. After this end, he joined up with a now-defunct Zeon Remnant fleet, the same story as perhaps many other doomed pilots; but doomed he was not. When the fleet was forced to fight in UC 0081, Joshy was deployed into combat for the first time, in the same Zaku Worker, the fleet being unwilling to refit it into an actual combat dedicated Mobile Suit due to their lack of spare parts. As such, he was sent into battle in a Zaku I deemed unfit for combat, armed with a single machine gun, not even being allowed a heat hawk. He shot down 5 enemy Mobile Suits. This was mostly due to dumb luck even more so than their newly awakened newtype abilities, the shots of their ancient, hardly maintained machine gun veering off target in just the right ways, along with maneuvers that would be utterly, suicidally stupid maneuvers in even their most modern Mobile Suit, A Pezun Dowadge modified for space use. Immediately after this, despite their protests, they were granted aforementioned Mobile Suit, alongside the rank of Lieutenant Commander, along with their new callsign; 'Lucky', based off not only their own claims of what happened, but also the more overt things during that battle, I.E the fact that he lived in the first place. In this 'Rick Pezun Dowadge', and with an entire fleet yeeting him all over the Earth Sphere against his will, he quickly gained a new name; The Shooting Star. Inevitably, the fleet was obliterated, but he managed to escape inside his Rick Dowadge and s o m e h o w rendezvous with the Delaz Fleet. Their participation even in Operation Stardust was minor, despite their skill being acknowledged, the real turning point being, of course, when they, due to their apparent skill, were 'temporarily' granted the Gerbera Tetra. Despite the years of experience under his belt, Joshy is still not, at a glance, what one would call the best at combat, but this is a deception; he is a professional at fighting unprofessionally. He performs manoeuvres and performs actions so absolutely fucking dumb and/or absurd that they're not even considered as possibilities for an ace, and as such almost always manages to catch his enemies off guard.

HISTORICAL & TECHNICAL NOTES | Model Number AGX-04S; Mobile Suit Gerbera Tetra SS Custom. An unfinished prototype heavy assault Mobile Suit given Zeonic-Style armour and lent to the Zeon Remnants, it was given to the Newtype pilot, Joshy Grayson, for the purposes of testing; however, an unexpected ambush by Titan forces forced the untested Gerbera Tetra into combat. After losing its prototype X-04 Beam Machine Gun in the heat of the battle, the Gerbera Tetra returned to its carrier and was quickly outfitted with 2 spare MMP-80 Machine Guns, as well as two Gatling Shields, cannibalized from Gouf Customs that were on the ship with the intention of being scrapped for spare parts. Using these hastily added on weaponry, Josh Grayson, with the help of his allies, was able to push back the Titan forces and test the Gerbera Tetra simultaneously. After the battle, the Mobile Suit was permanently granted to Joshy Grayson and re-equipped to their specifications. Its standard armament consists of 1 MS-07B-3 Gatling shield, although it can be armed with two, An X-04 Beam Machine Gun, 2 backup MMP-80 Machine Guns, 4(Albeit usually concealed by the shields) 110 mm forearm mounted Machine Cannons, 2 Beam Sabers, a Heat Wire, as well as the Heat Sword(s) contained within its shield(s). It can also be armed with an 880mmRB-T27 Raketen Bazooka in the place of its Beam Machine Gun, although the extra weight of this weapon renders it only able to carry one MMP-80. When approaching the battlefield, the AGX-04S can be equipped with a detachable Stürm Booster, allowing it to reach the frontlines without using any of its own propellant, and being dropped once the battlefield is reached.
