"I must spill more blood so the blood of Lady Haman and Chara will not have been spilled in vain. My war is not over until Zeon wins" Charlotte was born the day Zeon declared war on the Federation in 0079. She was born into the baronetcy of House Nightingale. While they are a noble house and had massive land holdings they leased and lived on, her Uncle was the current head of the family. As a result though her father was freer to pursue his passions in Engineering, and whilst in school for it he met the woman who would become Charlotte's mother. Around the time the war started her parents were engineers for Zimmad company designing mobile suits. They had moved to space as part of an adventure they wanted to take together and they were attracted to the ideals of Zeon Deikun. After the war they went to Axis Zeon instead of Anaheim Electronics like some others did and helped design the Quebeley and other axis Zeon and neo Zeon suits. After the conclusion of the battle between the Haman Faction (which Charlotte and her parents supported) and the Glemy faction they left Axis to join up with Char's forces and then eventually staying in side 3. In the year UC 0087 Haman picked up on Charlotte's Newtype potential and sent her to the Newtype Research Institute (formerly Flanagan institute). While studying there for numerous years, including during The second Neo Zeon war, she also studied engineering and kept regular contact with her parents. After she finished there she joined up with them to serve as a research assistant and test pilot and helped in the design of the Kshatriya, ReBawoo, and Shamblo. She met Haman and Chara numerous times at the institute and other places and viewed them both as idols. As such she despises those from the Glemy faction and the Federation. Now she currently is overseeing the railgun project as part of her desire to crush the federation and as part of what she sees as a rise to power. Aside from her being a Newtype she also has another thing that sets her apart from most people. She is a herm, but has been presenting as a girl all her life. This has been made easier by the fact her testes rest in her abdominal cavity. She has the Alias Blood Rose because the family crest of the Nightingale Family is a Heraldric Rose and resembles a bloodied white rose. It was just a few years ago that her Uncle, who had proven to be either infertile or just incompetent in the means of producing an heir, had died. When he did the title of Baronet fell to her father, he however declined the title, enjoying the simpler life he had made for himself. As such this placed Charlotte with the title which she accepted gladly. She wears the crest on her mobile suits as a symbol of her family and lineage as head of the Nightingale noble house. |
