Following the events of Proud Mary-Ghost and Goblins UC 0084
Far away from the city of Von Braun, a set of massive hidden doors would split the moon surface open. A lone ship emerging form the cavernous hidden dock where they'd been laying in wait for an opportunity to escape the Titans iron grip. It was a Pegasus II still wearing Earth Federation identification marks on it's hull. The Achilles had been a fairly recently built ship that was officially sent here to be repaired, or at least that was the alibi Faust had come up with.
Captain Amelie Devereux was chosen to captain this vessel since Faust had been stripped of his rank, his face was known through the federation so there was no way this lie could work if he was to be seen. Amelie on the other hand was still officially part of the Federation and on active duty.
---
The ship former Zeon Clara Marques brought with her to the moon had to be put away momentarily. She'd entrusted it to the Anaheim people , content with keeping her old crew together and bringing them over to the Achilles. There was enough room in the hangar to fit their mobile suits but for the sake of stealth she would opt for deploying in a GM custom.
Right now she was sitting inside the cockpit of one of those gray and green GM customs, trying to learn it's far different layout than anything she was used to. Everything was different and this was without a doubt the first time she'd been inside a federation MS cockpit.

The Tobruk was investigating the emissions trail left by the Zeonic Remnants ship. The Tobruk had been delayed due to engine difficulty but now it's captain sat on the bridge with a hard look. He had turned his sensors outward to look for any signs the zeonic ship may have linked up but found its trail effectivly had dissipated by the time his ship was up to speed. He also had requisitioned the travel reports from the areas monitoring satalites and found no trace of his quary. Now he turned his eyes, mind and resources to sniffing out where the ship may be hiding.
His leads were few and only maybe 2 or 3 of them were promising. However he was quite curious about the Achilies. It top was a newly built ship. Recently repaired going by records. Perhaps they could be of assistance. Afterall it wouldn't do well for loose and dangerous zeonic remnants to be loose like this. And worse still if they turned their sights to such a valuable target. So the course of action was now obvious for maximilian. He hailed the Achilies as he was brought a squeeze tube of something that looked like apple sauce but was labeled baked potatoes.

Meanwhile, inside the Hangar, most of the Pilots were on standby waiting for the opportunity and the order to launch out. The Engineers were doing some last-minute diagnostics and as far as the engineers doing their hard work they still have to quickly finish. Livie was inside the cockpit of her GM being bored and also eating a ration bar inside the mobile suit. "It sure gets boring in here sometimes......" she said to herself as people passed by the GM and the Hangar.

Sig quietly wandered about entering the bridge while tugging on his new uniform. He hadn't worn a standard uniform for some time now. The collar popped he glanced down at the insignia emblazoned over his pilot jacket. AEUG, or Anti Earth Union Group. That was who he was to fight for now. Would they be a part of this next war? This Endsieg he had been promised while looking up at the officer? He didn't know, but something was going on here in the present. He felt out of place, drifting a little. Putting that thought aside for the moment he began to turn about, to make his way to the hanger. He had been assigned a Gabaldy, a unit he had only seen a glimpse of back in the OYW.

Cornelius’s Dom had been left behind aboard the old zeon cruiser in lieu of a GM Custom in the sake of subtlety. Even though he was uncomfortable with the cockpit of a federation styled mobile suit he had to admit he was impressed by the machine. “Hey Clara, you doing alright over there?” he called across the hangar towards the open cockpit across from him. As it was he had a grasp on the basic controls but this was his first time with a GM.
With a new uniform came a new pilot suit and a new helmet in the process. In a way it felt good to have a change of headgear, less of the old Zeon imagery floating around and now he felt like a new man. These AEUG types were idealists but for once that didn’t bother him. He could call them naive sure, but what was the point in it? They had taken him in and now he had a reason to fight the actually felt like something he could believe in. This wasn’t a cause for trying to take over the world or just to save his own ass, but something almost admirable. The Titans certainly weren’t friends of the colonies and if this group wanted to get rid of them that was perfectly fine by him. Being the grunt of some other organization wasn’t ideal but so far they hadn’t wanted to give him hell over the lack of salutes.

It was a surprise, at first, when Amelie learned that she would be acting as Captain once the Achilles left the Moon. But it all made much, much more sense as Faust explained the reasoning behind it. As far as anyone knew, the Achilles was an Earth Federation ship. And she, unlike Faust, was still officially a Captain in the Federation.
So the brunette took her place on the bridge as the Pegasus II began its departure from the Moon. There was nothing out of the ordinary for her when it came to wearing a Federation uniform, so it was a very easy role for her to play. A part of her couldn't help feeling on edge, but it was something she'd grown quite used to as her dissatisfaction with the Titans had continued to grow.
As the ship made its way further from the Moon, she was told that they were being hailed by another ship. Amelie nodded and waited for a link to be established between the two ships. "This is Amelie Devereux, Captain of the Achilles. Who am I speaking with?" she asked, introducing herself.

At the Achilles hangar ...
" So far, I think i've gotten the hang on how the manual aim system is supposed to work." Clara reckoned it would take her a few weeks to understand all of the GM Custom features and systems. In the likely scenario the Achilles was boarded she could at the very last open fire on the enemy and direct it with a modicum of accuracy but actually using it in open space on a combat operation was a no go.
" I don't think i'll be able to do much right now other than provide covering fire. We should steer clear out of the way and let our former Federation friends handle things, at least this once. If we're discovered we're screwed anyways!" From the looks of it they had a good amount of pilots, certainly not requiring the assistance of the three of them, at least not immediately.
---
Meanwhile at the Tobruk ...
Warrant Officer Fatima De Leon sat in silence within the confines of her RX-78 cockpit which had been modified using parts from GM Quel types. Naturally it had been evenly painted to mask the weld marks made around some of it's repaired components. By now she could make full use of her newtype heightened sensory, feeling in the distance the faint presence of Sigstein and also that foolish man she'd ran into the other day at Granada. She could not quite pin point it with how far they were but was certain they were finally coming out of their hiding hole. Right now, it was a mere tingle down her spine but she was quite positive they were somewhere in the surface.
" Captain Rhoom, Those remnant rats are on the move. I can't exactly tell their exact location but rest assured it's them." She would send a voice message to the bridge using the radio.

Sig felt a muted tingle in the back of his mind, and it caused him to turn in a direction as he entered the hanger. Seemingly facing a wall, he was actually staring rather blankly in the direction of Fatima... or rather her general direction. She seemed far away... but he could feel her. At first, he calmed a little, knowing that they were in a Federation or AEUG ship. So there was no way they would attack them just yet... But then, he scolded himself. If Fatima knows where he is, then she will know that this ship is where they are. He looked up at GM Custom where Clara was and then over to the GM Custom where Cornelius was. No doubt Cornelius could sense her too, or at least he thought? He always took Cornelius as being further developed then him. Afterall, he was older and more experienced.
Walking over to the Galbaldy β he climbed up to the cockpit carefully, not wanting to be flung off in Zero G. The machine was a odd fusion of Zeon and Federation tech. But it's origin was clear as day. After getting himself inside and booting the mobile suit up and closed the hatch."I think Fatima knows where we are." he would communicate to Clara and Cornelius."We should get ready."

Cornelius shot Clara a thumbs up and a smile that he hoped was somewhere between confident and reassuring. “I will admit it’s a pretty impressive machine after using a Dom for so many years. Had to borrow one of those land type GMs on earth for a while and I have to say, this one could beat the hell out of a Zaku.”
The back of his neck prickled with an unexpected uneasy feeling and his head went up slightly as he glanced from one side to the other, trying to find the source. The grin he had earlier had faded into a frown and then into a learned neutrality. Doubtless Sig had felt the same thing since it was the first thing that he mentioned as the trio reached standby. “Clara, right now you should focus on getting used to the controls. The beam rifle isn’t quite the same as a machine gun or a bazooka. The particles are faster, you don’t need to lead as much. If you’re in the line of fire when the trigger’s pulled you’d better be right with whatever hypothetical god you believe in. Sig, lets keep a low profile but if anything happens make sure you two are alright before me. That’s an order cadet.”

Maximilian listened to fatimas words. He hadn't suspected that the zeon forces might be so close as for Fatima to pick them up. This was in a way a godsend, a scent for his hounds to follow.
"Warrent Officer do you happen to feel a stronger pull in any direction? We are about to make way to rondevous with a new model Pegasus Class... The Achilles. Ironic now that I hear it outloud." Maximillian allowed himself a smile. A mighty name for a mighty vessel but one that came with baggage. It meant that the ship had a critical flaw somewhere and aswell Achilles had at one point disguised himself as a woman. Amongst his many deeds not one that was outright noteworthy but perhaps that it came to mind there might be something off about the ship. A... deception with the crew perhaps, possible bribery or black mail. In any case he would know soon enough.
"Eart Federation Ship Achilies. This is the Titans Cruiser Tobruk making contact. We didn't want to give you an uneccesary spook. " The comms officer was quite friendly as ordered. Afterall it wasn't true that all the titans were die hard extremists with no personality. Infact many joined for the pay bumps.
The RX-78 repairs were quick and dirty as far as the machines normal quality was concerned but as time went on it would become more refined. Especially as the pilot data was poured over. A few of the men had noticed this use of Quel parts and likened the event to the stories they heard of the EZ8 on earth. Many of the pertinent details were lost and replaced with embellishment. Leading to the EZ8 to resemble not necessarily a cutting edge combat machine but a gundam that possibly anyone could use.

Ana would yawn a bit as she sat in the cockpit of her mobile suit, she knew they were important but these pre-launch checks were boring and tedious. While a lot of pilots just left these things up to the techs in the hanger, when she got a new suit she liked to go through them herself if she had the time. This GM Custom wasn't too far from some of the GM variants she piloted during the OYW, but considering her last suit was the Gunner Gundam she did have to familiarize herself with this suits loadout. She activated the suit's camera, allowing her to see out into the hanger from her closed cockpit, it seemed things were picking up and getting more active as the upcoming fight with the Titans approached. She worried a bit about some of the Zeon pilots, they would have a much larger learning curve, but she was sure they had gone over the controls already before now. Once the pre-launch checks were complete she would relax in the cockpit and wait for the call to launch.

" If you give me permission to launch I can sniff them out. My callsign will be ... 'Pike' "Fatima was quite positive they were on the move somewhere near the surface. She was not entirely aware of the Achilles presence quite yet. Deducing his exact location was much trickier even if she could sense their familiar scent nearby. The cyber newtype wasn't rude enough to deploy without permission from the Captain.
She had already made plenty of enemies so saw it fit to start being a little more mindful. ax had not only taken her in but also provided speedy repairs to her own mobile suit and would thus try to not piss him off.
--
" Ana, dearest. Would you please be kind enough to launch and form a defensive perimeter? These guys have no reason to open fire on us so try and keep it cool." Faust would get in contact with Anaztasia via radio call. In battle victory often went to whoever launched their units first.
If Amelie couldn't fool them then he would have to rely on a surprise strike to cripple this ship before they could try and seize them by force in case their alibi didn't work.

"Yes letting you out would be a good idea. However I'm going to send 1st Sgt Colette and two Quels for support. If our targets have regrouped we don't want to be caught too unaware. For now just focus on finding them." Maximilian replied to fatima. After he was done he issued the deployment orders. He then contacted Livie.
"1st Sgt. Colette, you are getting a chance to stretch your legs. Your to escort Warrent Officer Fatima and provide cover fire for her with two other escorts.
The objective is not to attack the enemy but to identify them. They likely have allies or extra resources that will make even a skilled team have trouble. Should things turn quickly the Tobruk can sortie more mobile suits and provide support fire."
The two pilots who were deploying were eager promising pilots. This would be a test for them as much as it was an actual operation. Unknown to the rest of the crew even the captain to an extent it would seem. The two transfered to the titans from being federation test pilots.
The two Quels could be seen being prepaired in the hangar. The two were identical like all the titans machines save for the numerical designations on the right shoulders. These two were however being armed differently than normal. The first with a Shield and Scatter gun, the second with a New 90mm GM rifle and shield. Both weapons were allegedly not even out of the development lab.
Maximilian however was very anxious about the Achilles. Afterall an entire ship had vanished agter destroying three eath federation vessels, this meant the crew was either lucky, or skilled. Maximilian was more leaning to the skilled option but not discediting luck, they could possibly be planning an attack on the Achilles since it was a rather high end vessel and a member of the Pegasus Class of assualt carriers. This resulted in Maximilian narrowing his eyes and formulating a second sortie of suits to range ahead and scout the Achilles and make direct contact. But for this he felt he would need to send a mixture of long range equipent and heavy Ordinance. For this he began to order a new team of 4 Quels to be readied and deployed with a beam sniper rifle and 3 hyper bazookas. This was just to be safe that should the Achilles be bait set by the Zeonic forces they could atleast deal some kind of damage to the ship or scuttle the Achilles so the rebels couldn't have it should they be trying to capture it.

"Yes, Sir!" She salutes the captain and heads for her GM all the while the weapons were being experimental she also was equipped with a new shield to replace the old Tall shied that was used for the longest time, as the GM was now ready to be launched from the catapult itself while the rest was happening for the others she would reminisce about the previous times she's been deployed.

Amelie remained where she was sitting after she responded to the Tobruk, waiting to her a response back from them. And she eventually got one back, in the form of a sort of introduction from the comms officer on the Titan ship, though he hadn't given his own name. Just knowing it was a Titan ship was enough to put the brunette on edge, after quite some time of distrusting the group. But she had enough experience in dealing with her own feelings toward the Titans to mask them whenever she needed to.
"Thank you for the warning," the brunette Captain responded back in a fairly pleasant tone. As she waited to see if there was any sort of response from him, Amelie took a long, slow breath as she thought about what was going on and what they had to do. They couldn't get stopped here before their group even had a chance to do anything. The more she focused on it, the more alone she felt on the bridge, knowing there was quite a bit riding on every word. The brunette finally blinked, and, after hearing anything from the Tobruk, she communicated with them again. "Is there anything you need, Tobruk? I don't have much in the way of spare time."
