" I didn't get to stick around for too long. I only had our Rezels shot a few missiles at their comms array from a distance. Of course on my way there I had to chase away six or so of their cruisers." Marina had no other intel on Deimos defenses save what was written on the same reports Ronan had already read. Her ship the Edelweiss had simply bypassed it entirely, taking advantage of the confusion once their sensor array went down to slip by unnoticed but of course that wasn't the plan this time.
It was safe to assume there were big guns and anti ship missile launch sites plastered all over the fortified areas of the moon which meant their ships had no business getting anywhere near. Clearly the only option was to blast away at them from long range and grind whatever defensive fleet the Martians had into paste.
---
" We'll stand by for your command, sir." Isami would patiently await for the next orders before committing to an engagement. He had no intention of recklessly endangering their defensive perimeter, after all they could ill afford to lose any ships.

Ronan quietly nodded closing his eyes while he tapped at his side. He was a careful listener, and even if it was short he did gleam some additional information."I see. No doubt their comms array is back up and running. But, that does let me know something. Their defenses are limited in range. More limited then I thought." he leaned back before letting out a sigh."If only this was the old days. I could launch a M particle war head and bring us in nice and close." he would say before shaking his head."Regardless, lets go with softening them up from a distance first. They are well dug in, so we will only likely take out sensitive equipment like that comm array." he would say before looking to the comms to was speaking to."After that, we will have to rely on our mobile suits and long range bombardment. Otherwise our ships will get chewed up by their defenses."
---
Ekkehard paused for a moment thinking tings over."Actually, Isami. I have something to ask of you." he would say with a pause."Your ship just received Doctor Cäsar Matthäus and his prototype yes? I want you to join up with the Burans and the Devil's Raiders. It has occurred to me that Ronan will keep some of his best units in reserve to protect their rear. He knows me very well..." he paused for a moment."Other then that? I want you to take command of the flanking operation. Move in when you feel the time is right. Also, I hear a familiar voice come in just now." Ekkehard said with a pause."Reassign Savino to the Mass Production Sazabi. That is my last order. The rest is up to you." the call would end.
Savino had been standing there since he informed Isami that his sister was on the way over. Perhaps he should of kept his mouth shut until the call was over?
---
Ekkehard walks around, hands beind his back with a smirk on his face. More and more ships were arriving, and the pieces and pawns moved into place. A old favorite pawn of his just happened to be in reach. He planned to place that pawn in position to kill a King."Glorious." he muttered before contacting Lucius."I have assigned Isami command over the flanking operation. Though you are mostly free to operate individually as previously agreed. What is your status?"

A few moments go by as all of Ekkehard's attempts to directly contact Marcus had been met with silence. His unit was nothing but complete radio silence from his unit outside of minor commutations with the Bayern Warship itself other than that, it simply just was flying around moving between the two forces but far enough to not directly engage the enemy. He was giving them minor orders as they prepared their forces for the defense alongside the others with the XO in charge of the ship 'Shay Nolan' simply replying to Ekkehard he simply doesn't wish to speak to him when asked by the communications officer before finally a signal came in after a few moments of static.
---
Lucius suit wasn't wasting much energy using low-engine bursts to conserve it, carefully studying the battlefield he would simply watch both sides to get an idea of what types of ships and enemies they were fighting before finally moving out of range towards group of wrecked ships to camouflage the signal of his unit before the battle begins as he takes the call. "Hello? i'm a bit busy at the moment... getting prepared to tip the scales in our favor.. Trust me.. i'm not engaging yet until the fleet is distracted." He dryly replied trying not to explain what he was 'planning' instead giving him a wicked smile almost trying to let Rozengarten take the hint of his ploy.

In the void of space the comms of Almakai's Mobile Suit, the MSA-0011 S Gundam kicked to life. What she heard were the initial orders of Rear Admiral Ronan. Something about attacking dead center, it sounded nice to Almakai. Right up her alley- but when he elaborated with another task she considered for a moment. Boosting further with all ten thrusters positioned on the soles, back and forearms of the suit she rushed towards Deimos to actually get there in time for the confrontation. After all, this battle would be the first she's been in with the Federation. Already having a fair bit of MS Piloting experience under her belt, this was her opportunity to win over the Federations approval of her as an asset as opposed to a liability. This would also be the first time she'd be engaging in actual combat with the MSA-0011 S Gundam.
Yet the year of time spent in training simulations to get up to speed with the Gundam left her confident nonetheless. She'd pushed through it all, excelled due to her prior experience and immersed herself with the suits capabilities. By the end of her training she had even requisitioned custom equipment that she thought would synergize with the suit well. A high performance mobile suit with a diverse array of weapons meant all she needed was a couple tools to turn it into a mobile suit that was a viable melee engager. Particularly, the Mega Gatling Gun and her hammer. One to suppress them so they are forced to duck and cover, and the other to do something once she closed the gap. Of course, only when the opportunity presents itself.
Patience! Always having to be patient! Almakai slammed the nearest surface in the G Core cockpit. The voice of the mobile suits artificial intelligence kicked up, A.L.I.C.E. "Master Chief Samsara, please relax. You will perform sub-optimally if you stop thinking clearly."
The voice provoked a sharp shout in response. "F*** off...! Don't mistake being pissed for being braindead... If anything, my emotions are what put me in the zone. Give me something to spire, hate or ruin and it's game over. Unfortunately none of them have pissed me off yet, only thing I hate right now is existence soooo... F***. S-"
A.L.I.C.E spoke once more. "Master Chief Samsara, I apologize but I need to remind you about the Rear Admirals Orders, if you are participating you should respond."
Listening and falling quiet, Almakai let out a sigh and nodded her head lightly. At this point they were practically caught up with a good chunk of the Federation forces. Reaching over and activating her comms, she spoke up. Her expression was bland, she was obnoxious enough to not even hold in the yawn that came over her.
"Hey sorry first mission, I guess I'm late. Look uh... You said you needed a High spec unit to stay on reserve. I guess I can do that, sounds like it'll payoff in scores when I get to take on the entire flank. Sounds like good odds." She said. That was her gamble, the hope that a little bit more patience would get her in that much deadlier of a firefight.
With a wide grin forming over her expression, she just couldn't wait.

"it will be done immediately, sir." Isami would take mental note of each of his assignments. There was no time for any fumbling around so he decided to take matters by the precise order given by admiral Rosengarten. There were a few models of mass produced Sazabi's around but he was too cautious, not wanting to put too much wear on those frames, at least not without expressed authorization.
" Lieutenant Savino, you are to deploy in blue five." Isami would get in contact with the an in question via wireless. Everyone called mobile suits by the identification number, there were another 3 MP Saz models but these were kept around as spare parts when the time was needed.
Up next was locating these mercenaries he was to link up with. He knew about the Devil Raiders since his sister Fumiko was dating their leader, a man named Lucius Smith. The two of them had only met briefly with Isami merely warning he wouldn't hesitate to break his ribs if he ever hurt his sister. " Send the leader of the devil raiders a message: We'll attack the enemy at the same time in a decapitation strike. Best of luck." As soon as his speedy battle ship had formed a joint strike group they would launch a surprise attack directly at the Federation flagship, ignoring all other cruisers and merely brawling their way to the command vessel. ---
Maya would receive an encrypted transmission informing her that she was to support the surprise attack and keep the Federation mobile suit forces tied up while the Devil Raiders and the rest of the allies attempted thrust. The Zhukov was not the most heavily armed ship nor had the largest compliment so running diversion was it's specialty and command understood this.

Once the shuttle was close to the Hessen, Izumi requested permission to dock as quickly as she could, not wanting to take up too much time. The shuttle made its way to an open dock in the hangar once she was given permission. Izumi was sure it wouldn't be long before they would be sending their pilots out into the battlefield and knew she needed to get ready in a hurry.
As she made her way to put on her pilot suit, she wondered if she should try to talk to Isami and explain why she had been able to return as quickly as she had. But at the same time, she didn't really want to try to tell him about what had happened. And thinking about it, she was sure her brother had quite a bit on his plate already as he tried to prepare for what was about to happen.

Persephone had been anxious, this was her first major engagement. She calmed herself by going over happier memories, what few she had anyway. It was hard to have many when you had amnesia and were used to recover and identify mobile suits and the dead pilots in them. Persephone watched as her mobile suit was resupplied and repaired. The machine was also being fitted with some extra fuel tanks and some micro missiles now that one of the ReZels had been taken down. They wouldn't need them now, instead Persephone planned to use these missiles to help expand her target engagement horizon. She didn't need to necessarily do damage but she did need to make enemy mobile suits stay on their feet.
After waiting for some time Persephone got back into the cockpit of the Ovation. She let her mind reach out to the psycho control mechanism. She felt the new weight and state of the gundam. It was ready to go out and spread its wings. It was eager to find another New Type, perhaps one that would resonante strongly. As persephone was calmed now she began to launch. She then spoke to Marina. "Captain, Any specific orders? I can feel many minds and some of them seem to have malicious intent. They have been bolster by the capture of the Sinanju Stein."
Then the ovation launched, quickly gaining speed as it left the launch deck. The machines many thrusters were almost fully open to make up lost time and get into position. She took note of her allies and noticed a brute of a machine in the wings waiting. It seemed to contain strong soul and a very weak one. Perhaps a two pilot machine for support.

Josephine had seen the battle was coming up shortly now and went over the battle plan once more with her unit. Her unit was used mostly for testing prototype units or special operations, this would be the largest battle they had been a part of and she wanted to make sure their heads were on straight. She would be leading the Raven Squad, they would lead the unit into battle, meanwhile the Crow Squadron would provide EWAC and long range support from behind while remaining closer to the fleet. Once the briefing was over she slipped on her pilot suit, leaving her XO in charge of the ship as she went on to lead the pilots.
Josephine was ready, though she wasn't the only one in this fight, and she surely wasn't going to charge in and be an easy target, she stood by and waited for the true attack to begin. She would deploy her squads once the other ships deployed theirs. She would relay to her XO to keep her informed on when Ekkenhard wanted to start the show.

Lucius's face was twisted by annoyance and anger, why won't they just leave him alone for a few minutes? Then that feeling a prickle at the back of his neck, like a sting pain as he reaches out with his new awareness he sensed Ovation and it's odd pilot, his eyes briefly widened. Feeling his plan was about to fail with such a person, his unit draws back to the allied lines as the emerald lightning shines as the scarlet Gundam awoken from its sleep as it's engine roars to life to fly off.
The machine seemly reacting to his rage as it's white and red armor glowed with scarlet shine as the unit as those with a 'Newtype' Powers the image of the shroud of a black and red beast in the shape of a "Dog" that gives a sinister aura of an unnatural, monster-like ferocity around him as Marcus rage hits a boiling point, his hand shaking at the controls before and his eyes as blood with a almost insane smile. After pressing a few buttons, he opened the channel to them.
"Old man Rozengarten's is napping on the job and you are taking over? What KIND OF SHIT IS THAT?! Khekehehe... Oh god, fucking... damn it... oh well WHATEVER... Hehe... LET'S GET INTO THE FUN SHALL WE! Besides... Hephaestus... this is the type of battle you longed for... Hehe... Lets show them..."
The malicious tone in his voice was infectious unlike his usual calm persona, this was all of his pain and all of his sufferings let out into a single brutal fashion. His laughter was wild as it echos out as all of this stress had finally awakened something within him. His large hulking suit flies over as it then slowly glides down to meet the others as they prepare for their offensive rush.

Savino looked Isami straight in the eyes, not betraying his immediate emotional response to this. it had been some time since the Rozen Knight had used him last. He had thought his use ad run out with the dissolution of the royal family, and the disheartening of the Rozen Knight."Yes sir." he would say giving a quick salute. Quickly was onto something else, and he turned about face and left the bridge. The very moment he was alone in the corridor he slammed the wall."Damnit!" he breathed out clenching his fist."He wants me to try and kill Ronan..." he said standing straight up with a deep breath."We can do this... its just one more mission... just one more war." he shook his head. He felt something pushing him along, something that wasn't his own will. The power of his will had strengthened since then, but he was not yet free.
He began making his way to the hanger, trying to push the significance of what was about to occur to the back of his mind. As he made it to the hanger he went to a locker and started to put on a pilot suit. The gloves hugging is skin in a familiar way. Once he was all sealed in and wit helmet twisted on he would go through the airlock. There he saw that Izumi had arrived in a shuttle. But there was someone else here, approaching the Shuttle. It was the Doctor, and he was in a normal suit. Savino's face sunk even further. His past was coming to haunt him from every moment. Was this his punishment?
---
Rear Admiral Ronan got the transmission from Almakai and remained quiet for a brief moment before replying."Indeed, we need your unit to protect the flank. As for being late, it is acceptable for now. Just don't make a habit out of it? Regardless, good to have you onboard. Expect mobile armors escourted by igh performance Zeon mobile suits. Give em hell." he said deciding to go a little easy on them. He needed moral to be high, and his strict way of leading would more likely hurt moral in this situation.
---
The battle would be starting soon, as very soon the Federation ships would be in range.

It seemed like Maya always got the fun jobs when Isami was involved - it's a shame she hadn't seen in person for a while, but she kept a mental note to rectify that. The Zhukov was a bit behind the ship of the Devil Raiders, as it would attempt a thrust towards the Federation flagship while Maya's unit would be apart of a diversion force against the other enemy ships to keep their attention away from the Raiders.
The mobile suits had deployed for the planned simultaneous attack - her three subordinates had deployed, the Dreissen armed with the Giant Bazooka, the Lange Bruno-equipped Geara Zulu and the Zaku III advanced with the Zhukov, Maya's Kshatriya deploying later.

Choosing to hover behind the Federation battleship Rear Admiral Ronan commanded, Almakai simply looked towards her scanners to identify the various incoming targets. She knew there had to be a point where she compromised on her recklessness, as difficult as it was to remain patient. Hopefully blending with the large Federation battleships radar blip, she opted for the element of surprise to ideally get a solid first shot off.
When Rear Admiral Ronan gave her the brief rundown of what to expect, a brow raised upwards. Not particularly surprised, that meant unless they were swimming with aces they weren't actually dedicating as much to the defense of their own base on Deimos. She already knew she would need to pull out all of the stops. Closing her eyes and taking in a breath she honed herself. Her hands finding controls, her breathing gradual and calm. It was one thing to be fuelled by emotion and motivated by thrills and violence, it was another thing entirely to act like an animal, something sub-human; her pride would not allow that.
Another plus was that if she pulled this off for long enough, she'd stall the execution of the Zeon attack strategy long enough for it to start crumbling. Their tactics resembled a rush to critical points in their forces. Even if they took out the Federation battleship, so long as none of the other Federation pilots in the battle pissed themselves it would be fine. After all, so long as something remained to shoot at their backside, they couldn't pull back to enclose their own fighting force. While she doubted she could save the battleship if it was swarmed- too much surface area to reliably defend, she knew she could exploit the attacks on it to give her breathing room to attack unsuspecting or distracted targets.
Much to her own discontent, she would be starting the battle using her tri-powered beam smart gun, with the two additional power outputs sacrificing beam cannons feeding it a total supply of 56 mW. First Zeon had to get close, so thinning any units that'd be thorns in her side before they reached her would be ideal. She'd need to be able to pick out their aces. Though with red shimmers and strange designs, that was made easy for her. She was no exception, her S Gundam had a little unique of a look to it, even if fundamentally it was much the same minus a few adjustments; loadout changes excluded.
Checking the sensors again, several hostile blips appeared followed by another. That meant they were around... seventeen or so kilometers out. While she might've been within line of sight if she wasn't behind the battleship, she doubted she could hit some mobile suits - the more mobile and manoeuvrable ones. With the smart gun, she could still help clear out threats until they got close, to where she'd start her main job.
"Let's see... Approaching in formation it looks like. No way the INCOM can cover that kind of distance."
A.L.I.C.E chimed up.
"Master Chief Samsara, I believe out of your current arsenal the only weapon viable at this distance is your smart gun. I estimate based off of your previous track record and training scenarios that you have an eighty percent chance of making a shot that would hit. That does not factor in their reaction time, ability to dodge, or any defensive measures their mobile suit might have."
With a deadpan gaze towards the scene, Almakai just sighed.
"Well, as much as I want to start shooting right now, the longer I wait this one out, the more of a surprise factor we're going to get. Alice, I want you managing the vulcan cannons to take out any missiles within range. Prioritize protecting the S Gundam, but if we have no missiles approaching us then focus on shooting down missiles or explosives targeting the Rear Admirals battleship."
She opened her comms, speaking in the same bored and un-enthused tone.
"Alright, all systems are ready to go. ALICE is going to try her best to assist in taking down any munitions targeting the battleship. I'll try to put a dent in their blitzkrieg squads once they get a little closer. Have fun out there everyone, make the most this day; might be your last."

" Prioritize defending the flagship. Those Zeek dogs are coming at us with everything they got." Commodore Von Witzland answered Persephone. After a life time of fighting Zeon forces Marina knew exactly what to expect. There was no way the Martians were unaware of their presence and were likely scrambling every asset at crippling their battle group vital arteries, including it's logical neural center.
---
The Saarland hangar bays opened giving the mobile suits already on stand by clearance to take off. For the time being Isami would remain on the bridge, responsibly steering the ship into an adequate position, as such he didn't have much tie to waste on idle chit chat rather focusing on the clear enemy ahead of all of them.
" Izumi as long as you stay in the cockpit of that mobile suit you'll be safe." He would get in contact with Izumi whom had just arrived back from leave. There was a certain irony in those words but that was the truth right now.
---
" We've detected a raiding party in sector S-08. Five plus mobile suits plus a high speed converted freighter." Captain Sofia Torres of the flagship Villa would inform Admiral Mahoney. There was no doubt these were the decoys that would cause trouble in their immediate vicinity. The EWAC operator had confirmed the presence of Funnels which meant it could be torublesome if prolonged.

Izumi had gotten changed into her pilot suit as quickly as she could, not wanting to take up too much time. She wasn't sure how much longer it was going to be before the attack started. She returned to the hangar and started walking through, stopping for a moment in front of the Refined Zorin Soul. She remembered what the machine was like when she'd taken it for a test run, though there was the added stress of having the Doctor around.
But as she was looking at it, she received the call from her brother. "I understand, I... sir," she said, stopping herself from saying his name. It was probably a silly thought, but she knew he needed to focus on what was about to happen shortly. So instead of making her way to the Geara Zulu, Izumi turned and started moving toward the Refined Zorin Soul. Hopefully this mobile suit they'd gotten would be able to help them in battle. But she knew a lot of that depended on her.

Not one for waiting long, choosing to directly engage the enemy pilots, he rushed forward from the allied lines as the scarlet mobile suit was a familiar sight to Ronan's first encounter with him. His newtype senses pointed to potentially the largest threat of the pilots as the winged thrusters enhanced it's speed further until it reached near its limit as the engine roared like thunder as it moved to engage the newer target. "You're the one i sensed?" He remarked unable to get a good read on her unit, it felt odd even for his view and his pilot was a complete mystery to him from what he managed to gather by sensing her...
Lucius gripped his controls, not waiting for the battle to begin chooses to fire the first shot as a series of leg missiles from the Hephaestus Gundam roared to life as it dashed directly at them before getting within firing range. each of its 5-tubed missile launchers on each of its legs to fires a series of mid-to-long range missiles out directly in the path of both aimed for the Ovation's direction choosing to target her during his rush. He started bombarding her direction with a series of missiles, with each of them flying in the path not only towards her but past her directly to the ships nearby her.
