Lucius was focused his attention using this chance to push the hand holding the shield out of the way letting it drift in space oddly long enough before the right hand gripped onto its side as an extended blade of emerald plasma shoots out as the Hyper Beam Sabers ignites extending out as the blade was almost as long as the massive Gundam itself. Using its full setting the blade ignites into a large glowing blade akin to the ZZ Gundam's sword.
He almost was speaking to himself as much as to his mobile suit. "...Hephaestus! Let do this!" he shouts out as his conviction and raw emotions ignited around him once more focusing his rage to press the attack once more. The heavier suit uses its full weight in each impact pushing into her sword to parry the strikes by the enhanced joints of the much larger suit made the impact feel like an asteroid with enough force to rock the other girl back before using its other hand to recover the shield before attempting to attach it away.
"Mhm... damn it... this is taking longer then I expected.." He muttered to himself quickly looking for a way to break out to regroup with the fleet to get reinforcements.

The Ovation raised its own modern hyper beam saber as its blade clashed with the emerald blade. It's color began to change back to Crimson Slowely as a kind of mist came from the ovation. Each strike causing the mist to thicken.
Then the ovations eyes went dark as it then spun with a quick burst of speed. It's entire form shifting as it kicked the ogres shield away, but also using it as a kind of spring board of sorts as the shields beam saber deactivated aS it was thrust into the shoulder joint of the free arm and began to fire it's 60mm gauss vulcan. The weapon roared to life as it spat out a stream of lead as the mist cleared now from the ovation revealing it's true colors.
It was a deep inky black with dark grey secondaryS and glints of silver. It was a shadow in the eternal night of space. Only the battle around them illuminating it's form as the shield was being used to wrench the shoulder joint out like some kind of pry bar as the miniature Mega Machine Cannon did it's job. However it was clear that the ovation had take some major damage from the green blade but still pressed on. Then it's four vulcans fired into the ogres head and torso as it jumped off.
The ovations own Hype Beam sabers blade was growing in size and power before the machine boosted back and turned in time with the ogre. Slashing into its now wretched shoulder. It was also clear to see that the shield had stopped firing and had activated it's beam saber just before it jumped back.
"Pathetic, both you and that machine. I didn't realize that antiques were still in use. Perhaps I should go and get a GM III and even the playing field." Persephone spoke now with a much different tone and voice. She didn't approve of this opponent, and the state she found her machine in. It was clear to her that the frame was showing in a long jagged scar left down the body, shoulder and leg on the left side of her gundam. She then saw her micro missiles were ready.

"Well, I salvaged what I could locate dear... If i had better equipment i would have! I built this guy from my blood sweat and tears! Hades be damned..." Lucius was in disbelief that the Hephaestus was battered so badly this early in the battle. It could withstand a beating from a heavy bombardment but her suit was odd compared to his one, where he salvaged it using pieces of other suits to bring life to an old Gundam Frame, her unit was 'strange' practically alien in contrast. Noticing the damage levels starting to mount, he quickly remembered that he had an appointment elsewhere and moved to escape.
Breaking off the clash of the blade the large Gundam then deactivates it's beam-saber briefly only to reattach it to its hand as it could easily keep going a bit longer with this unit but its radar had picked up the deployment of a few more mobile suits. In his current state, it would be unwise to keep going with her this early in the battle instead he would retreat for now.
Hephaestus's shoulders parts ways revealing a hidden compartment as a pair of disks flies out of its shoulders guided by wire as a pair of high-speed ICCOM's flies around it before firing a series of beam lasers directly at her as he was using it to cover his escape as the suit itself started to fall back to return to the rest of the fleet before radioing back to his ship. "Lucius to Shay, prepare the hanger for my return... and repairs.."

Once she was in the cockpit of the Refine Zorin Soul, Izumi remembered what Savino had said to her as he'd been walking away. 'What did he mean...' she thought to herself, checking the control settings like he'd mentioned. But her eyes got bigger as soon as she did, seeing that practically everything had been set to the absolute maximum. "Wh-what?" she stammered to herself, goosebumps on her skin as she practically felt the evil intentions the doctor must have had to do something like this. But why? If she hadn't been warned by Savino and had taken off right away, she had no idea what might have happened to her. Was that it? Did he just want to see what would happen to her?
The purple-haired pilot closed her eyes as she took a few slow, deep breaths, trying to calm herself. She opened them again and quickly started adjusting the settings back down to normal, as well as reengaging the safety on the suit. Izumi couldn't help checking the settings a few times, like she was worried they might have gone back to max. But once she was convinced that they hadn't, she started up the Refined Zorin Soul and sat back in the chair, remembering what it had been like during her test flight. It was both harder and easier at the same time to pilot a mobile suit like this after doing it the traditional way for so long. But the suit moved away from where it was docked, noticing Savino's MP Sazabi looking her way before it was launched. She took her place on the catapult, getting into position as well. "Mouse... Launching," she called out, pressed back into her seat as she was launched from the ship as well. As soon as she was out of the ship, Izumi started looking around to try to figure out what all was happening.

Josephine and her unit had made good progress in the battle so far, they had met with enemy and managed to break through. Her psycho plates were serving her well, already adding to her kill count, but she hadn't faced a real challenge yet. Her unit would spread out, the assault squad she was leading would move in to hit the other federation forces from the side while they were facing other Zeon troops while the rest were moving up with the ship as the Sadalahn moved with the rest of the fleet. Josephine herself was keeping her eyes peeled for commanders or more troublesome mobile suits, she'd take out a Jegan if she could, but she knew every Gundam was worth much more in its performance in battle, its cost to produce, and the amount of morale lost when it was destroyed. It wasn't long after she went off in search of a Gundam type that she had found one, a mass produced Nu Gundam, just launching from the catapult, she sent 2 of her psychoplates toward it, aiming them at the cockpit while having them come in from different angles.

Rear Admiral Ronan Mahoney was in the thick of it, and he knew it having suspected this flanking attack from the famous 'Rozen Knight' and now all there was to do was repel it. If they did that, then the gates were open for them to take out Deimos. However, before he allowed himself too deep in thought he caught a glimpse of something from the corner of his eye. He didn't move to get a better look, and instead reacted by kicking on his thrusters and kicking off from the surface of the battleship with a spin. Ronan sunk into his seat, listing to one side as he spared no sympathy for himself in the maneuver. The attack just barely missing as he had prematurely dismounted from the catapult. Though did he dodge them completely? He got nicked by one, though just barely. There was a brief violent shaking, and a shower of sparks that went out. A brief impact warning, which he ignored as his eyes locked onto the Varguil. He raised his shield pointedly towards it and fired off a volley of shield missiles.

The Zhukov had was in the vicinity of the Deimos fortress after it had arrived for what would've been the usual maintenance, yet it didn't show itself yet - Maya had judged that there had to be a right moment for her to intervene. Her ship and her people had been made to operate alone on raids instead of engaging Federation fleets, but this was a special occasion. Within the Zhukov, The Lieutenant Commander's Kshatriya was being prepared, along with the three suits. If so many ships were recalled back to Deimos, then surely Isami must've been here too. Maybe she could join up with him later, if possible. Captain Sofia would launch on her Zeta II from the Federation flagship. Her mobile suit was armed with a pair of clay bazooka's on its back, wielding a long beam rifle on the unit dominant hand. Having launched in waverider form she would set course for that funnel carrier threatening their flank and adopt an attack vector at full speed, confident the funnels wouldn't be able to draw a solid bead on her as she approached at full speed. " You are mine!" Sofia did not need newtype reflexes to get the most of the Zeta II performance.

Inside her Kshatriya, Maya's sensors and her own senses alerted her to an enemy mobile suit - a rapidly approaching Zeta II wanted to pick a fight, rushing in an attempt to avoid her funnel fire. However, this wouldn't be too much of an issue. The pilot didn't seem to pay any attention to Maya's teammates who were circling around near her, out of the Zeta's focus - her funnels had been deployed and fighting around, but they wouldn't fire, they'd only serve to keep the attention of the Zeta II for now.
Maya accelerated as well on the same vector to meet the foe, circling her funnels around, no doubt making the pilot nervous - Maya would blindside the pilot by firing the four mega particle cannons on the Kshatriya's chest in the form of a single powerful beam as the distance between was closing, but her squad would simultaneously attack as well. Each positioned from different directions, they fired - the Dreissen shot away with its forearm triple beam cannon, the Zaku III with the beam machine gun and the Zulu with the Lange Bruno Gun Plus.
''Boo.''

The Zeta II sensors had picked up the rest of Maya's wing men but Sofia was undeterred. She had begun with the evasive maneuvers when the Dreissen got a lock on, effectively rolling away from the automatic beam fire barrage from the Dreissen and Zaku III. The Zulu heavy Bruno gun shell exploded fairly close, it's conclusive blast and shrapnel knocking the Zeta III waverider form away from the Kshatriya mega particle blast, ensuring she would avoid the brunt of the attack. Those mega particle guns had a very telling heat signature which made them relatively easy to dodge on a swift fast mover like this Zeta. Naturally, she hadn't come out of that exchange unscathed since the fragments from the Bruno gun shell had peppered the underside of their waverider form.
" Keep these assholes away from me." Sofia would order his wingmates, a pair of Rezel defenders type B that would target Maya's team Dreissen and Zaku III with a barrage of micro missiles. The Bruno gun equipped Geara was soon being fired at by what appeared to be a Stark Jegan wielding a beam carbine at optimal medium range.
With the path more or less clear, Sofia would point one of the forward facing Clay bazooka's, firing a sizeable High explosive shell at the Kshat. She was aiming at its Binders, knowing it was where the funnels docked. The projectile would explode long before making it to target, releasing a deadly spread of fragments that would make short work of any remote weapons in the surroundings.

The Kshastriya had received damaged on a Binder, but a few funnels would remain operational for the time being. The Zeta was fast, so she would have to keep up - she used the full speed of her suit to rush towards the Zeta in return, using the maneuver she employed against another Gundam. She was spinning in circles with the beam sabers from her forearms deployed and mega particle cannons from her functioning Binders firing away - she appeared like a wild hurricane. She wouldn't give a second of rest for the Zeta pilot, charging at it with the hurricane movement to cut at the Zeta with her forearm beam sabers while the few remaining funnels would fire away at the Zeta's back to dispose of its additional weaponry.
The Zaku III and Dreissen would switch to heavier weaponry to engage the Rezels, the Bazooka and Giant Bazooka respectively. The Dreissen pulled back to aid the Zulu, whose propellant tanks had been discarded after being shot down by the Stark Jegan, but the Dreissen swiftly deployed the tri-blades from its back against the Jegan. The Zulu discard the now unusable Bruno gun and switched to its four-barrel beam gatling gun on its forearm and the standard beam machine gun to aid the Zaku III. He squad knew how to keep its enemies occupied, and was armed for the occasion.

" That thing is so big there's no way I am going to miss." Sofia was confident she could take on this behemoth. The waverider form allowed her enough speed to be able to escape the funnels field of fire. There was no way the pilot of this unit could be able to control several of those remote weapons at an scattered pattern. Federation pilots were now trained to identify patterns on funnels field of fire so it would be easier to find the gap. At the end of the day the operator of those remote weapons was still a human being which allowed that flawed nature to be exposed.
Even if her opponent was not employing their remote weapons at all, Sofia kept this on mind at all times thus basing her overall strategy around that concept. As such she never intended on letting the Kshat even get into beam saber range, instead using the Zeta II speed to zip pass the bigger mobile suit, using her own lateral thrusters to keep going while steering clear off the spinning quad wing.
A few of the scattering beams seared parts of the fuselage but she was avoiding the brunt of the beam sabers. Since she'd focused entirely on going defensive instead of counter attacking, Sofia had been able to minimize the damage but she could ill afford to keep having that scattering beam fire cripple her control surfaces any further. After speeding pass the spinning Kshat, she would take a few seconds to transform the Zeta II into it's MS form, dual wielding one of the clay bazooka's along with the beam rifle. The unit eyes glows red since this was now the standard issue color on Federation MP Gundam variants.

"Ugh, I guess you're smarter than that," Maya's I-Field Generator could take the beam rifle fire, but she flying out of the way of the clay bazookas. Right now, the Zeta wouldn't let her get close, so she needed a way to get in. She fired her mega particle cannons and occasionally her funnels, but it was mostly a distraction for the upcoming third plan to take the Zeta down. She could feel it, the Zeta's pilot was intensely focused on her, and that was a good thing for her. She had signaled her Zulu pilot for aid. And yet, all of this was exciting.
"Enlighten this damn thing, Anton," While Maya and the Zeta continued their dance, the Zulu pilot fired off a cracker grenade from his beam machine gun to her exposed rear while Maya had intensified her attacks to keep the Zeta unaware. At the last moment when the Zeta would see, Maya pretended like she was going to pull back, yet the cracker grenade's light erupted - this was the chance, she reversed the Kshatriya's course, beam saber in hand, striking at the Zeta. This time, the Gundam's speed wouldn't help. Maya was blind too as she rushed her opponent, but her senses assured some kind of successful hit for her.

Sofia had brought the beam rifle but not to shoot at the Kshat, rather she deployed the beam bayonet which was almost as long as an actual beam saber blade to deflect any more melee strikes. The glowing blade remained on a high ready position, ready to protect the upper body and cockpit from anymore slashes. Understandably, she had not seen the flash grenade cracker, being completely blinded by it. Thankfully the beam bayonet was in the perfect position to stop the Kshat's slash, preventing it from cleaving the Zeta II in half. The force behind the slash was enough to knock the Zeta backwards, spinning out of balance in the opposite direction.
Having been used to regain control rapidly, Sofia would stabilize the spinning Zeta using her back up apogee motors to ensure she could take a snapshot with the clay bazooka, this time firing a more standard APHE shell at the hulking behemoth of a newtype mobile weapon. The solid core projectile would be enough to tear a hole in whatever it struck, it's high explosive filling bursting after burying itself into any surface.
---
The Stark Jegan had absorbed some of that beam gatling fire using it's extra armor and would soon jump at the Geara Zulu once more going for a high speed pass. These Federation pilots never attacked without having an energy advantage, firing a couple of rapid fire shots from the beam carbine

The incoming APHE shell had flown through one of the Kshatriya's Binder's, blowing it away into pieces. The suit was sent rocking back a bit from the strike, Maya rocking against her pilot chair. She stabilized herself, noticing one of the Rezels that had decided that he could finish her off. He rushed her from above, intending to cut her down with his beam saber. He slashed at her from the side, but she moved and her I-Field Generator was still somewhat functional. The saber's hit deflected, and she too the chance to grab the Rezel's head with her grip, crushing it - she used her other arm to immobile it. She crushed the arms, then moving to to the chest where the cockpit was before ripping it apart with sheer force and anger.
"You think that's all it'll take ?" She was floating after throwing away the remains of the Rezel, the part where the Binder was destroyed sparking from damage. Maybe the Zeta expected her to run away, but she did nothing. She radiated with a crimson aura that consisted of a mix of anger and a certain joyfulness. She was not doing anything else, allowing her to full concentrate on her dew funnels. Her newfound aura had also helped as she unleashed a powerful combined blast.
----
The Zulu's right shoulder shield was blown away the beam rifle and that arm was damaged beyond use, but he fired away Sturm Fausts at the Stark Jegan as the Dreissen had intercepted the Jegan with its heat saber in hand, cutting away at the enemy suit's legs. The Zulu followed up by cleaving through the Jegan's upper body with its beam tomahawk.

" If that's the kind of game you want to play so be it!" Even an oldtype like Sofia could feel this murderous intent emanating from the blue Kshatriya. She wasn't pleased to see one of her wingmen be taken down by the rampaging newtype so she would make sure to deactivate the beam bayonet, allowing the barrel of the beam rifle to start charging a shot.
Sofia trained the sights onto that Dreissen, fully intending on taking revenge for their Jegan. She fired a coupled of shots that would no doubt skewer the larger than average mobile suit vital components and cockpit. She didn't have much time left, the sensors warning her about the funnel spread. Once more she had to go evasive, engaging the transformation system and boosting out of the way of the closing cage of beam fire. She had not come out of it unscathed as evident on the hole in the nose of the waverider. Another shot had landed on the right side leg, managing to go trough the partially armored fuselage causing damage to the internal components which would translate to a lack of responsiveness next time she tried to veer in an opposite direction.
A third shot from the funnels had struck the chest but that part was protected by the strongest plate of armor, effectively weathering it for now.
