Before the events of Dragon Fury- UC 112 Martian Colony Mount royale Fumiko Aika did not have a whole lot of relatives left. She had never meet her grandparents but knew they had all died in the war 30 years ago, her mother and father had passed away under suspicious circumstances a decade ago which left her relaying on her brother Isami who was not much older than her, her aunt Veronica who was a high ranking politician within Mars but there was someone else retired Admiral Rozen Garten whom she had known since she was a toddler. Rozen had been her mother's guardian for a long time and was the closest thing Fumiko had to a grandfather. That afternoon she agreed to meet with him at this Colony relatively close to Deimos. By now their victory over the Federation at the home front seemed more than evident. Out of respect she had decided to cover up a little more than usual, wearing casual but conservative clothes for her. Instead of joining the Martian SDF, Fumiko left Mars in a self exile, instead going with Lucius Smith whom she had formed a relationship but recently she had gone back to Mars to take part in the conflict alongside Lucius. Fumiko had been the one who suggested him to seek the chairwoman for employment and thus she felt responsible for the headaches this arrangement caused.

Ekkehard Rosengarten sat quietly at a park table, having decided on a more casual environment for the meeting. In his hand a photo of Catherine and him from back during the one year war."Is this what you would have wanted Catherine?" he quietly asked as he looked at the old grainy photo. Her face, her voice still clear in his mind. He had managed too get Ronan killed. The over confident bastard left too much of an opening in his flank, and paid the price. The feeling of revenge was short lived. He had always imagined he would of been the one to do it. He had also imagined something changing should he have. But, everything was still the same. He should of known better. He noticed from the corner of his eye Fumiko approaching. He quickly pocketed the photo.
"Ah, there you are Miss Aika." he respectfully nodded."It is truly good to see you. Please, take a seat."

" Good afternoon, gramps."It had been 4 long years since the last time Fumiko had seen Rozengarten, the blunette would walk up to the man and hug him fiercely. When she lost both of her parents Fumiko went out of control for a few years until she met Lucius but it was obvious her life was still in disarray.
" I figured it would be good to see each other before I do something really stupid." She grinned, taking a seat next to the older man. Fumiko knew this next mission was near suicidal and had decided to make peace with the old man before it came to that. When Ayami dissapeared, Fumiko immediately pinned the blame on him even if at that point his power and influence was not the same it had been back in the days of Axis Zeon. The memory of 19 year old Fumiko being rude to him was something she felt embarrassed about it after all this time.

Rosengarten stood up and firmly hugged her back, giving her a gentle and reaffirming pat on the back."Well, you know I am always here to listen and give advice." he would say before sitting back down. Rosengarten had not blamed her for her feelings in regards to him, knowing how much the loss of Ayami affected her. But she had certainly grown since then."So, tell me." he said as he sat back in his chair."What is is on your mind? You sound like you are about to go off and do something you are unsure about?" he asked not entirely sure. He was curious and concerned, and that much was obvious.

" Let's say it's something I might not be able to come back from." Fumiko was not going to publicly divulge Lucius plan to steal nuclear weapons from Londo Bell Lunar HQ. He could clearly see she was hesitant about this whole endeavor.
" I don't even know if it would be the right thing to do. It's going to create a lot of suffering in the long run but what options do we have left at this point?" The chairwoman had already green lit the operation but something about it did not sit well with the blunette.
Ever since Lucius came to Mars he seemed more reckless than usual. Fumiko had been attracted to him at first but his plan to use a WMD to upset this balance was worry some, knowing more families would be thorn apart much like hers had been.

Rosengarten studied her from where he sat and quietly listened to her. Then, he seemed to consider her words for the moment."Sounds like a difficult situation." he said closing his eyes for a moment."In my time, I've been presented with such situations. I've done such things. If it isn't something you truly believe in they will weigh on on your soul like gravity." he said looking at her now."Is what ever this is something you truly believe in? Or do you not know?"

" I believe that what I am about to do will make a great deal of people suffer. I don't think i'll have the fortitude to live with it but at the same time I worry that if I don't do it then the people of Mars are also going to face a cruel fate. it's a damned if you do-damned if you don't situation." Fumiko felt trapped between the sword and the wall, and no matter where she went she was going to get stung.
" At the same time, I can't let my comrades down. Even if it will weight in my consciousness for as long as I live. This is so complicated." The blunette girl shook her head in distress. She felt partially responsible for bringing a semblance of justice to the people of Mars but at the same time feared others would suffer the consequences of Lucius plan if successful.

"A cruel fate..." Rosengarten muttered as he thought it over."You are putting a lot of responsibility on your own shoulders." he said sympathetically."You are so brave." he sighed."If you take this on, then forever the people of mars will be your responsibility. It sounds like what ever you are planning on doing will forever tie you to that role. The role of a leader more or less. The role your blood gives you a right to. But, there are others who can shoulder that burden you know?" he said looking at her."Are you sure that what ever you are planning on doing will work out like you expect? I remember... " he paused. "Operation British. It was supposed to bring the one year war to a premature end. But, that simple plan, caused so much more suffering then anyone could have thought possible. In the end, it lead to the downfall of the Principality. Could what ever you are embarking on do the same?"
