Franz Von Gemúnde was born to a family of first generation German immigrants to the Jovian sphere. His father having accepted a position at the local Federation Garrison as a part of a promotion. His father wanting to ensure the success of this promotion and his family's integration made sure to immerse them in Jovian culture. Making sure his son went to the most elite Jovian academies instead of sending him away. This was their home now, and Franz had been born into it. Franz took right after his father, expressing an interest in a military career as soon as he could. His father, and his father's father and so on all came from a long tradition of Officers. Stretching all the way back prior to the adoption of the UC Calendar. Franz took to his studies well, and at the encouragement of his father took on much of the Jovian identity. It was easy, for he had known nothing before. He made friends, played with, and learned the ways of Jupiter far easier then his parents whom were still set in their ways in many ways. But there was something else, that occurred. From an early age, he began to show the signs of being a new type. His abilities being new for the family, and at the same time his father was proud of him. With these abilities he was able to find others like him wit ease at school. Some might consider some of the things he did to be cheating. Whether it be games or at school. He was now able to read people's intentions with some degree of ease. School a he knew it would not last, and soon enough he had his father enroll him in a military school to prepare him for officer school. His goal was to become and officer within the Federation Garrison forces at Jupiter. But it was here he learned something else. The rulers of Jupiter were nothing like the people, and seemed to keep a great distance from the culture. Yet, they had been here for generations looking out from their glass houses with disgust. From what he heard, they preferred the company of Earth elite. This puzzled him something fierce. After going through the military school and the officer academy and then mobile suit training he became an Ensign and spent his career as he wanted in the Jovian sphere. Though while chasing pirates and dwindling Zeon remnants he noticed something. Not everyone was enthused to be here as his father or himself. Most from outside of Jupiter hated being assigned to a back water section of the Federation. He would ask to hunt down pirates, and get ignored. His behavior also bothered many officers, as like the people of the Jovian sphere he had become somewhat alien. His merit could only carry him so far, and among other grievances it was not hard for him to be convinced to leave and join up somewhere else. Those inferior Earth dogs, and Federation lapdogs would one day find out, that their reach could only extend so far. He planned on helping someone show them the folly of their distaste and complacency. |
