| Ash is the type of person that others cross exactly once. She doesn't put up with anyone's shit, even that of her superiors. She often forgets to delegate, even though she has the authority to do so, and won't hesitate to jump in a Mobile Suit if needed. She feels as though she has a lot to prove, and she hates owing anyone anything. She's still torn up over losing her parents, and will never forgive the people who took them from her. Still, she tries not to let her personal issues get in the way of her job. She enjoys calling people out when they step out of line, and tends to be just bitchy enough to get the job done, or get someone else to. |

Growing up in Texas was by no means normal after the one year war. Everyone was on edge, waiting for the next attack. Ashley Blackmorre had more to deal with than most due to the circumstances of her birth. Having the reproductive systems of both sexes led to quite a bit of discrimination early on in her life. Still, she did her best not to let it get her down. When Fifth Luna was dropped, Ash wasn't old enough to know what was going on. All she could tell was that her parents were upset, and that made her upset. Over the following years, most of the stress that Ash had to deal with was with regards to her intersex characteristics, especially when she entered high school. By this point, her parents had enough sense to enroll her in a private school. That didn't stop the discrimination, nor her physical response to it, but it did cut back on both by a measurable amount. She even managed to make a couple friends before her world came crashing down. In the year U.C. 106, Ash was in her third year of high school, with her parents vacationing on mars. She had to be pulled out of class by EF officers in order to be informed that her parents had been casualties of the recent events on Mars. Two years later, she enlisted as a Mobile Suit Mechanic, and quickly worked her way up to the rank of Senior Chief. After the First Martian Conflict, she was promoted to Master Chief.
