He holds grudges easily and has a long memory to assist in carrying them. Now, that's not to say he has no good qualities, he does know how to joke and as long as he is aware of where your loyalties lie he will be quite a cheerful companion. But if he doesn't, Walter will be quite suspicious and watch you like a hawk until he does. Becoming a Cyber Newtype, with all the improvements that had been made with the process, was simpler than it had been in its early days. That said, it did overblow his paranoia/suspicion of others to what could be seen as extreme levels. His ability to react to things improved, making his already formidable skills as a pilot even more deadly. He is knowledgeable of all the major conflicts that occurred in the last 30 years, from the One Year War all the way through the Second Neo Zeon War. |  |
BIOGRAPHY |
"We do whatever is necessary—even if it's thankless and ugly." Walter was born in the year following the creation of the Titans. He was raised on the moon in the city of Von Braun, in which Anaheim Electronics operated. He was fortunate to have 3 years of relative peace before his life was changed forever by the A.E.U.G. and the Titans. When the Anti-Earth forces docked at Von Braun his parents were working there, so when the Titans attacked they were killed in the ensuing conflict. So the young boy would wait and wait and wait but his parents would never come, until finally a man in a business suit appeared at the door and told him the news, and that he would be going to a new home as someone had already agreed to take him in. His hatred of the A.E.U.G. and the Titans began in earnest that day, despite all his foster family's efforts to temper his rage. It only grew when, during the Second Neo Zeon War, Char Aznable, the Red Comet of Zeon, tried to drop Axis onto Earth. By this point Walter had been moved to Londenion. While Char failed, he did see the Earth Federation in a new light, as the brave actions of those who died trying to stop the asteroid as well as the missing legend's Amuro Ray and Char Aznable himself. The only reason he found out about the missing persons was because while for Mr. Ray's whereabouts (as it was listed as unknown) so he could send him a thank you message, but his attempts to locate him caught the attention of someone by the name of Sayla Mass, and thus he learned that the man had been missing since the incident, and not even his mobile suit could be found. (Curiously, he was unable to contact her again after the initial dialogue, as he found her contact information missing from all his devices, even the computers he thought were secure were bereft of the info. During his time on Side 1, he found himself in envious of the EF soldiers, and wishing he was older so he could join up. So, in preparation for that day, he put himself through a hellish training regime. He knew that having big muscles won't do him any good in a MS fight, but being able to with the G-forces that they put on the pilot is better done when physically fit. In U.C. 100, he joined the training facility on Londenion, and while he wasn't the best, he was up there, and graduated with an officer's rank of Lieutenant as well as a personal mobile suit. There wasn't much to say regarding the years in training, but when a year after he graduated, in U.C. 106, the Martian colonies rebelled, forming their own government, not that he recognized it as legitimate. He had lived through Both Neo Zeon Wars as well as the Gryps Conflict, and he had no sympathy for those who couldn't understand why the Earth Federation is necessary. When the F90 prototype was stolen, he was furious, after all, alleged or not, the Martians were making their own aggressive moves and there could be nothing less than their unconditional surrender to make him accept them again. His zeal for the Federation and hatred of the Zeon was noted and so he was inducted into the secret ECOAS, retaining his same rank but he was only provisional for a couple years incase he was deemed unworthy of the position. As he is still with ECOAS and still a Lieutenant 5 years later, it can be assumed that he was deemed adequate for the job. It was also during this time that he found himself presented with an opportunity: to become a cyber newtype. Naturally, he was aware of the past examples, such as Four Murasame, and Elpeo Ple and her clones, but the person he was talking to explained that improvements had been made on the process and it was safer than ever before. That didn't mean there weren't potential side effects, but they could only be made known after the operation. Thinking it over, he agreed, and after many months it was done. Oddly, they decided against modifying his memories, as they had deemed him already possessing the proper mindset, and set him loose. It was only later that he found himself looking suspiciously at everyone and while he wasn't horrified, he just chalked it up to everyone acting suspiciously and resolved to pay closer attention to everything. The scientists responsible recorded his post-op behavioral changes, and thus pushed aside. While it could cause problems, it meant he was less likely to become a flight risk as he was so loyal to the idea of the Earth Federation that he couldn't countenance betraying it. |

| A customized GAT-01A1 Dagger used by the ECOAS unit. Besides the change in color, Slaughter Dagger is modified to be lighter and has its OS adjusted for better performance. Furthermore, it is equipped with an improved, higher output AQM/E-X01 Aile Striker as part of its standard equipment, granting it full flight capability in the atmosphere as well as improved mobility in space. The armament of the Slaughter Dagger is largely identical to the ones on the Dagger, except that it is equipped with a MX703G beam rifle instead of the handheld machine gun or the M703 beam rifle. Due to the use of the Aile Striker, an extra pair of beam sabers are also added to its armament. When necessary, the Aile Striker can be replaced by other Striker Packs that are more suited for the situation. Like the Dagger, Slaughter Dagger has laminated armor to protect its vital areas. |
