BIOGRAPHY |
"I will do as I please." The Von Witzland family rose to power in the early Universal Century, becoming one of the primary investors behind the formation of the Jupiter energy fleet in an endeavor to produce a reliable source of energy to power the colonization of outer space. Marina's father- Frederick Von Witzland- had five children before her who all went on to become prominent figures within the Earth Federation government and military forces which put a lot of pressure on her during her formative years. At the age of 17 she decided to follow the steps of her brother Faust who had come out of the one year war as a General and a hero. After graduating from the space forces officer academy she used her brother's connections to join the newly formed " Elite" Titan's taskforce. Marina began her career in UC 0085 as a radio operator in the Alexandria class ship which belonged to the Titan's command. She saw service during the Gryps conflict, losing her left arm and right eye during the battle in which her ship was sunk by AEUG forces. After recovering for four years she was given the opportunity to join the service again right in time for the second Neo Zeon war, having been assigned to serve as an XO onboard the Irish class cruiser " San Diego", a position she had for years until being promoted to the rank of Captain in UC 106. Eventually she made it to Captain, being given command of her own ship- the newly built 6th ship of the Ra Cailum class which was baptized as the Edelweiss. Marina was 37 becoming one of the youngest Captains in the space forces in no small parts due to her connections inside the service after decades of service and kissing the right asses. |
