The opposing RGM-86 shield was cleaved right off alongside part of its wrist. The heavy slabs of metal fell to the side shaking the ground below.
Without its shield, the GM was forced to retaliate with a barrage of 90mm fire that while not exactly accurate would at least deter it from trying another head on strike.
Fox's machine cannon volley riddles the fin funnel full of holes, prompting it to fall out of the sky in flames. It's operator at the helm of the Delta Kai groaned once the mental link was severed.

" The Zulus I've sent to reinforce you ran into a Rezel patrol outside the Colony walls. Fox, I advise you to pull back and link up with them. It doesn't appear like the Federation is trying to destroy the Colony but if this escalates we are looking at it sustaining severe damage." The voice that answered his call was Hilda Ebert's- The acting Captain of the Wertheim.
" We are going to need to regroup before attempting a counter attack. I have already ordered our engineers to evacuate but we need you to cover their shuttle, how do you copy?"

Fox maneuvered the machine to hide from from sight around the boulder as the 90mm rounds smacked with minor explosions blowing chunks off it's rocky surface. Landing with a ground shifting skid, the vernier propellants maintained the hasty pace as it circled it's way around the same rock formation and approach the GM from behind in the attempt to catch it off guard. His idea was to keep the aggression strong while the GM suffered a moment of panic. Plus he needed to keep moving in order to avoid being pinned down from overwhelming firepower given the fact he was still outnumbered. The mobile suit's Beam Axe mechanically locked in it's right manipulator, the defensive shield still holding on it's left, it approached at high velocity with a second swing of it's Beam Axe in a downward angle to try and cleave off the GM's head or destroy it's upper half of it's frame. During those hectic moments, the Captain's artificially reconstructed words were pulse translated from the communications transponder.
"Copy that!" His teeth grit from the burden to keeping himself together during the 107R's stomach churning rapid movements. The scanner picked up the beacon on the engineer's shuttle. "Lock on desginated beacon!" Fox automatically locked onto it's signal via voice command. Now he needed to keep the federation mobile suit's at bay while the craft made it's escape and at the same time coordinate a rendezvous with the second wave of reinforcements. "Send me coordinates to second wave's position, issue request to set up defensive formation around shuttle escape route!" The machine sent rapid pulse waves to the comm-towers for the Captain to receive almost instantaneously.
