If you're looking at the template above and know exactly what you need to do, cool, have fun; still, don't hesitate to ask for help or make suggestions if you feel the need. If, on the other hand, it looks like a Greek word jumble to you, hopefully the following tips will help you to understand and fill the layout.
Essentially you want that template above to end up looking something like this example here:

PERSONALITY & TRAITS |
---|
A loyal and dedicated soldier both in war and peace. He is known for his competence, strong leadership, and ability to quickly adjust to complex situations. As captain, he enforces strict military discipline and regulations and does not hesitate to punish his crew when they step out of line. Bright is known for relying on standard and reliably proven tactics rather than acts of bravado. He has a strong moral compass and never hesitates to make the morally right decision for the better of all, even if he has to disobey orders from his superiors. |
BIOGRAPHY |
---|
Bright Noa's legacy begins at the early age of nineteen, at which time he was forced into a position of great danger and responsibility as acting Captain of the Federation's secret "White Base" and its stand-in crew. |
- The most important things to remember are that there are two tabs located at the bottom of the field where you type your post (Preview and BBCode), and that you can type in either tab. If you write any code in the Preview tab you will have to switch to the BBCode tab and back again for it to be interpreted properly. For instance, if you accidentally paste the template code in the preview tab simply switch to the BBCode tab and back again, and you will now see the proper tables, formatting, and images
- It is easier to fill out the template using the Preview tab, as you can substitute out the placeholder/sample text for your character's information. Images can also be added in the Preview tab, but require the use of some code and to switch tabs again to see the image properly. To add your character or machine images look for the line
[img style="max-width:100%;" src="https://i.imgur.com/GrFGC3g.png?2"]
near the bottom of the template. To insert your image, simply copy and paste the URL in place of the current one, between the quotations. To do this in preview mode, you can click on the placeholder image, hit delete, and then type[img]SAMPLE TEXT[/img]
with your image's URL in place of the sample text. Once you've switched tabs off of and back to Preview your image should appear. Your images may be resized due to the board's width limitations, and the nature of the template's tables. You can attempt to override this by changing the number written as the "max-width" above. You can either leave it as a percentage, or change the % to a px, setting your image to a specific pixel width.
