Von Braun city UC-0084 Four years ago Faust Witzland had achieved a near legendary status as a hero of the one year war. He'd risen from a injured Lt. Colonel to a General in a matter of months through grueling combat, leading men valiantly to the very end. He'd successfully occupied occupied the enemy capital of Munzo without spilling a drop of blood but all of that changed last year during the aftermath of operation Stardust. He'd made the promise that leaving Munzo unscathed would de-radicalize the Zeon remnants still present around the Earth Sphere but has shown by Delaz's fleet actions this policy amounted to nothing. When he was wrongfully accused of being a Zeon sympathizer by the Titans, Faust was stripped off his rank and decorations he sank low, trying to find another way to provide for his family. One day he was contacted by a representative from Anaheim Electronics. From the sounds of it the arms manufacturing company was gathering a group of disgruntled veterans with the current events involving the Titans task force and their lack of oversight and accountability. Every day more and more people saw them as a genuine threat that would potentially spark a new major conflict between the Earth and the Colonies. There was no shortage of former EF officials that had a bone to pick with the shadowy police force for a myriad of reasons. Everyone had been gathered on this luxurious casino in the city of Von Braun. AE had rented one of the spacious halls and everyone had been given an invite on a closed envelope. Everyone was on this event including this blond man in his mid 20s with golden blond hair, wearing thick shades that covered his blue eyes even though they were indoors on the moon. Faust was dressed in a grayish blue suit with brown leather shoes, he'd been quick to gather around with more of his former EF colleagues from the war. These were no ordinary people, most of them had been leaders and exceptional soldiers during the war.

Although most of the invitations to this 'gathering' being held by Anaheim Electronics were being sent to veterans who distrusted the Titans, there was at least one active Federation officer that had been invited as well. Amelie Devereux never really tried too hard to hide the fact that she didn't trust the Titans. She hated the lack of oversight they seemed to have, and she'd been witness to some of their tactics in the past. When she received the invitation, Amelie spent quite a bit of time looking at it and contemplating if she should go or not. Part of her was tempted to just throw it in the trash, but she never actually did it. Finally, as the date approached, she made her decision.
Several days later, the brunette found herself in Von Braun, making her way to the casino. She was fairly impressed when she saw it, momentarily mixing in with the crowd of people entering. Much like the rest of them, she was dressed very nicely and easily hid the fact that she was an officer in the Federation. She was able to make her way out of the crowd, taking a moment to look at what was likely just a small portion of all the different games that were available to play. Looking around, she was able to spot quite a few that she recognized as well as a few she hadn't. But any gambling she was going to do on this trip would have to wait.
Amelie made her way toward the hall the invitation specified, hoping she would be able to get herself a drink before anything started. She was still looking around as she made her way there, looking at all the different people, machines, and tables. Once she arrived, it was easy to see that people had been splitting off into groups, likely people they'd served with before. The young woman made her way to the bar, getting the bartender's attention and ordering a drink for herself.

" What can I serve you, miss?" The bartender would take Amelie's order straight away, serving her the stiff drink of her choosing without much delay. There was no need to pay for anything since their hosts owned the establishment to start, covering all the expenses for the night.
Faust was shocked to find Amelie making her way towards the bar. " If you would excuse me, gentlemen." He moved away from the group he was in, heading to the bar at a brisk pace. Faust had known Amelie for years, during the war she was his deputy and while a junior at the time she'd proven herself to be quite reliable. He'd heard she'd been invited and her presence only really meant she too was dissatisfied with the current regime.
" I am glad you could make it." Since the two of them weren't really strangers Faust greeted the younger girl with a peek on he cheek. The Titans had not been kind to Faust, forcing him to retire after taking away all of his accomplishments, despite this he still looked energetic and happy go lucky for a man in his late 40s.

Amelie already had her drink choice in mind as she was walking up to the bar, ordering a manhattan for herself. She remained where she was while she waited for her drink, wondering when the host of this event would come to speak with all of their invited guests.
Although the brunette had done quite a bit of people watching on her way to the hall, she hadn't done much of it once she'd entered. She'd only glanced around and saw all the different groups standing together before she'd made her way here. She thanked the bartender when he gave her the drink, taking a sip of it. Amelie didn't look over when someone approached the bar at first, but her eyes got bigger the moment she heard his voice.
She turned to look at Faust, a smile on her face when he greeted her. "It's good to see you," she replied. Though it had been a momentary surprise to see him, it made perfect sense that he would be here. She was fully aware of what the Titans had done to him, which had fueled her dislike of the organization all together. And it had only grown more as time went on. "It's been a while... How've you been?" she asked, eager to catch up while they had the chance.

Anastazia had been going around the gathering for awhile now, she had spent most of this time talking to those she recognized as former Zeon officers. She had even had a chance to talk to the Red Comet himself and joked about their similar aliases. She was still part of the Federation Survey Service after all and it was rare to get such a chance of getting first hand accounts from the other side of the One Year War. Once she finished her rounds she would sit at the bar, she would sigh a bit as she knew that the only drink they'd have from Russia would be Vodka, not that she hated it, but she enjoyed variety from time to time. She ordered 2 shots of Vodka and downed them quickly as she looked around for more familiar faces.
Anastazia could tell what this gathering would be about, she knew plenty of the faces here, whether from her time in the Federation military or from her time as a member one of the assembly members of the Federation government. As for the Zeonic faces, she knew plenty of them as well, the Federation Survey Service gathered a lot of information and many of them were in it. From her knowledge of the attendees and of the host, she knew this group was probably the most Anti-Titan group ever assembled. She knew something was planned and something would be announced, and she had started to become a bit impatient, downing a few more shots as she waited.

Faust would explain to his former secretary that after being kicked out of service he had found himself living in the neighborhood working back in the family construction business. By now all of his children were certainly of age, the oldest one being already 18. His wife having decided to not have anymore after the second child who was only a four years younger.
" I didn't call you just to remember the past. Amelie, I am going to need you to help me take this fight to the Titans." He simply explained in his usual calm and gentle demeanor. This wouldn't be the first tie the two of them would stand up to an evil tyranny, having done so in the previous war. Faust always openly admitted his love for Amelie, not hesitating for a moment despite being a married man.
All guests were then instructed to head to the dinning room where a full course meal awaited them. After dinning and a few more drinks Faust would stand up from his seat, calling everyone's attention. " Comrades and friends, we're gathered here tonight because the time has come for us as men and women of action to stand up to evil once again. it's never too late to make amends, I personally wish we hadn't spent our youths and the lives of countless of our comrades fighting against each other in the previous conflict. Now we have a chance to set things right and fight against the real evil that torments our current reality: The Titans must be stopped but we need to form a cohesive effort if we are to succeed in this goal. This will be a volunteer movement only so feel free to walk away right now if you refuse to take part in it. Nobody is being forced here to risk their own life."

Anastazia would get up with everyone else, glad that we were finally getting down to business. She took her seat and began to eat, conversing with others here and there, the food helping to balance out those drinks from earlier. Once she heard Faust speak, she knew she had been right about just what this meeting was for, and was honestly quite excited. While her stance on the Titans wasn't really public knowledge, she had been open about it to some of her trusted confidants, which one informed Faust, she didn't know, but it wasn't too big of a deal at this point anyway. When he told everyone that they could leave if they didn't wish to join, Anastazia kept in her seat and kept listening, she was interested in seeing where this was going.

Amelie continued to sit and talk with Faust, listening to him as he told her about what he had been doing after being kicked out of service. Just thinking about it made her angry, just like how she'd been when he'd been kicked out. Despite her own feelings toward the Titans, it was a surprise to hear the older man talk about taking the fight to the Titans. But the brunette didn't really show it, continuing to listen to what he said to her. Amelie had always been careful about who she talked to regarding her feelings toward them, though it was likely quite obvious at times. "You know I'm always here for you," she mentioned before they were invited to the dining room.
The Federation Captain stayed beside Faust as they made their way in, sitting and enjoying the tasty meal that had been prepared for them. Once everyone's meals were finished, she looked up at him when he stood up and began speaking to the room. Listening to what he was saying to all those who'd been assembled, she knew this would finally be her chance to really do something about the Titans. She could finally not be so powerless to do anything about them. When he said that anyone who didn't wish to join could leave, the brunette remained in her seat with a drink in hand.

From the looks of it no one dared to stand up from their seat. Faust was humbled by the gesture of solidarity. He would go on to further discuss the way the group finances would be handled, mostly managed by AE staff who would be responsible for paying each one of them a salary on top of providing all the material. Everyone was encouraged to bring their own MS along though if unable too they had no qualms providing current models with a degree of customization. For now their fleet was composed almost entirely of Improved Salamis cruisers. 20 something in total which while small was also soon to be complimented by new battle ship designs currently in the works. Their first order of business was linking up with stranded Zeon remnants scattered across the Earth Sphere and bringing them in into the fold. After the dinner, Faust would approach Anastazia, bringing Amelie along with him. " I am certainly glad you decided to stick around." He figured since all three of them had been on the same side it would be easier to work together as part of the same crew. " Would certainly be an honor to have you in charge of our flagship forward MS team." Naturally that position came with all sort of performance bonuses.

"Well that is truly an impressive offer, though I am sure I'd get a better one if I were to turn around and offer up all this info we just got over to the Titans, luckily for you though the Titans are evil sadistic assholes and the Federation leadership aren't much better for letting things get this way. You know, it almost makes me want to jump back into the assembly, but instead I think I shall accept your offer, as much as I enjoyed politics I enjoyed the battlefield a bit more, things were much more honest there." She would say as she downed another shot of Vodka. "You did mention AE would be on board, right? That will be good, I may be known as a good pilot, but I don't exactly baby my suits, I need some people who can truly help me dial it in and fix what toys I end up breaking"

It was a pleasant surprise to not see anyone get up from their seats, showing that all of them did have a common goal in mind. Amelie continued to listen to Faust as he explained more about how the group would run and who would be funding them. As he continued, the brunette was already beginning to wonder about what she might have been able to contribute to this newly formed group. Even though it was still in the very early stages, the Federation Captain felt like there was much more of a chance to do something about the Titans here than where she had been.
Once the dinner was over, Amelie heard Faust asking him to come with him. Even though she'd been an officer for a while now, there was something that just felt natural walking together with Faust. She accompanied him over to Anastazia, at first choosing to just listen to the two of them. There was a tense moment when she seemed to consider selling them out, but luckily it didn't seem to be a serious threat. "You're not wrong..." she said in a displeased tone when she talked about how little the Federation leadership had been doing. She'd been trying to do something about them for quite a while, but she'd always felt handcuffed.

The retired General let out a rather unconvincing almost nervous laughter when Ana joked about that proposition. " That's what they have offered us in exchange of our hard work doing the actual fighting. I am in no position to deny their help even if we know they only have their best interest in mind." Long ago he'd cast away his pride, knowing he would have to sink low to even stand a chance against the organization that now terrorized the Earth Sphere and it's inhabitants.
" Now then let me show you our current 'flagship'. I'll introduce you to the rest of the pilots as they arrive." He would guide Ana and Amelie outside the casino, a car already waiting for them. From there on they would drive to the outskirts to a privately owned docking yard very cleverly hidden among all the manufacturing centers.
After getting through a series of security checkpoints they would continue on foot to this massive installation that housed a Pegasus II assault carrier being prepared for near departure. " Ladies allow me to welcome you to your new home, our flagship the Achilles." He quite liked the gallant name which this hull had been christened.

"Well you are clearly doing something right, this is one of the best ships in the federation fleet and you managed to get your hands on one. I have to say I am quite glad to see you got a ship with catapults and I won't have to be dealing with some of the shit I used to during the war, so glad you didn't show me a Magellan and we actually have a hanger." She will say with a bit of a smile. The Federation fleet during her time in the service hadn't been fully suited for mobile suit groups, plenty of times she had to attach her suit to the outside of a ship because of the lack of hanger space. "So we have a Pegasus, I suppose next you are going to tell me our generous partners have provided us with some equally impressive mobile suits?"
She had to admit she was surprised to see a Pegasus class in front of her, after all, the class was quite iconic for the federation, and seeing one on the field of battle as an enemy would likely be quite a shock. As she was speaking she moved around a bit to get a better look over the ship, it was clearly an improvement over the original Pegasus class, in both looks and in performance.

Amelie was immediately interested as soon as Faust mentioned showing them the 'flagship' for their newly founded group. "Lead the way," she said with a smile. The brunette walked with Faust and Ana as he led them out of the casino and to a waiting car. She relaxed once they were all in and the three of them were being driven quite a ways away, which made sense.
Once they finally made it through the checkpoints and arrived at the installation, she continued to follow Faust until the three of them were looking toward the Pegasus II. Her eyes got bigger as she looked at it. "Wow... very nice," she commented while she and Faust continued to have a bit of a back and forth. She was fairly familiar with the assault carrier, but it was a surprise to see that they had managed to bring one from the Federation. She heard Ana's question about if whatever mobile suits they had would match the Achilles and couldn't help wondering as well. It seemed the right people had been contacted for starting this new movement.

" This way please!" Faust would lead the way on board the ship towards the hangar. Once inside they could all see six GM type Cs along with miscellaneous specialized variants like a pair of GM Cannon IIs. He was aware Ana had more exotic tastes in mobile suits but this was the first batch Anaheim had supplied to them and he certainly had no problem accepting these models since they were still fairly competitive. " I hope you find our current line up to your liking." He apologized in advance, thinking it might be time to brief Amelie on her duties on board the ship, he would have her accompany him to the bridge later. " If you wish to spend the night here please make yourselves at home." This had no long been a long night for all of them involved. He'd of course taken notice how much everyone else had been drinking already, no doubt they would feel tired. He was fairly certain both women were familiarized with a pegasus class layout.
